The Finer Family
Descendants of John Finer and Hannah Bull
of Essex, England
The origin of these documents was a family tree sent to Canada around 1934 by Arthur William Finer ( 1875-1932), my great Uncle.
The tree shows our direct line from John Finer (ca. 1667),
with names and some dates. A visit to England in 1979 added more detail,
and raised more questions. Some four years ago, I received a letter inquiring
about a Eustace Finer, whose name did not appear on the tree. Working with
his great granddaughter and, later, with other distant cousins the tree
has revealed many new branches.
The result of this collaboration is the list of descendants shown below.
Efforts to verify the accuracy of the data are continuing and the site will
be updated as needed. Some conjecture is necessary to encourage research.
So far the bare bones of great Uncle Arthur's tree have, with one exception,
proven to be acurate.
I have a GEDCOM file containing the information below and
would be pleased to send it on.
