The Camel Races inland from Al Taif...
This is the start of the camel race. Favourite riders are the kids. Some look like their less than 10 years old. If you don't know arabic, your not sure when the race will start. Once it does, the camel owners charge off in their pickups and 4x4's tailing the race. It's good to get a spot upwind of the dust. If you decide to follow, use your lights to be seen in the dust.
About 20 minutes later, the pickups and 4x4's return in a suprisingly orderly fashiion as the first few camels end the race.

Wahba crater
Wahba crater trip setting off from Taif Sheraton after breakfast.
Wahba crater from part way down. The crater is 2km in diameter. There was pleanty of salt in the pan and no sign of water inside.
