Kimono Style
Yesterday's Sunday Telegraph had a small story about David Duchovny's Two on Two series mentioned below and a photo.

The Sun-Herald had a yearly movie wrap-up, naming Evolution as their second worst movie of the year and slamming the Evolution premiere as the worst of the year.

This from the MX newspaper, a Melbourne gossip rag, typed by Fiona:
"Nude shots are X-filed for Duchovny"

David Duchovny has disappointed fans by revealing he will not strip off in his new film. Julia Roberts and Brad Pitt star alongside Duchovny in the movie, provocatively titled Full Frontal.

Duchovny, however, reveals his onscreen outfits are hardly substantial. "I wear a kimono. That's all I ever wear; that's my wardrobe," he said.

Toungues are already wagging that the movie will steam up the screen. Roberts referred to the Steven Soderbergh-directed flick as her "nudie film" but spies are split as to whether the Erin Brockovitch star peels off on the big screen.

Duchovny is no stranger to bare bottoms. Wife Tea Leoni revealed the star had painted pictures for charity with his backside.

Hoop Dreams
From Yahoo:
Duchovny to produce "Two" hoops series
By John Dempsey

NEW YORK (Variety) - David Duchovny, a basketball junkie, will make showbiz hay out of his obsession by producing "Two on Two," a half-hour primetime reality series for cable's TNN.

The network has commissioned Duchovny's production company Toy Plane Industries to put the finishing touches on the concept, whose premise is that two young men with basketball skills start in New York City and work their way across the U.S. by elbowing their way into pickup basketball games.

The men would be encouraged to play hard because they'd earn their travel and living expenses by placing bets on the games. Duchovny will serve as an executive producer.

In addition to the drama of close games, TNN general manager Diane Robina said, "We hope the show will play up the humor of the situation, along the lines of the movie 'White Men Can't Jump.'"

The beauty of "Two on Two" for Robina is that the series will appeal to the young male viewership that has transformed TNN in the last year from an older-skewing, predominantly rural network in primetime to the youngest-skewing of all of the general-entertainment cable networks.
Unblonde
The unblonde herself, Laurie Holden (Marita Covarrubias), has been getting plenty of press lately for her role in the upcoming movie "The Majestic" opposite Jim Carrey.

News Update
There's been a distinct lack of updates recently ... what with Christmas parties to attend, work commitments and William to look after.

Channel 7 decided to play the final two episodes of The Lone Gunmen last Thursday, and in the correct order ... first "The Cap'n Toby Show" and then the (will it ever be resolved?) cliffhanger "All About Yves" starring Michael McKean as his X-Files Morris Fletcher character and with a funny cameo by David Duchovny as Mulder. I'll add them to my episode guide as soon as I can.

The following news is courtesy of Lucy :-)

There is an article on Annabeth Gish in the current issue of Who Weekly.

There is a 2 page article on Lucy Lawless in the New Zealand Women's Weekly which is available in some Aussie newagents.

There is a photo of David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson on the last page of the current issue of the UK magazine Now.

There was a review of Evolution in last week's NW magazine plus 3 photos of David Duchovny with daughter Madelaine. Also in The Buzz section was the following paragraph:
The X-Files star Gillian Anderson is making her directional debut with Speed Of Light, a film based on the Elizabeth Rosner novel about a Holocaust survivor's son who grows up to become a recluse.
There have been more Duchovny/Leoni baby stories including Who Weekly where there is also a small photo of the couple with the news that they are expecting their second child. This news was also in last Wednesday's Courier Mail plus ninemsn (ThanX Clare for that last one).
