US TV Guide
My Rating: 8/10
A funny episode -- Jimmy is so amazingly naive, so dumb but very likeable. Shawn Batten does a great job as the nurse while The Gunmen are their typical bumbling selves as they hunt down the grizzly bear trapper.

I can see why the series didn't make it in the US, despite decent ratings. The Gunmen are certainly not displayed as they they are in The X-Files, where they are always shown as super intelligent hackers and investigators. Here they are still intelligent but they are also very bumbling and klutzy. I guess many X-Files fans didn't like that and tuned out, but the show has certainly grown on me over the past 2 months and it's a pity it didn't make it to a second series.

Where Have I Seen That Face Before?
Michael Puttonen (Dr. Bromberg) has appeared on four 1013 series, with roles in "The X-Files", "Harsh Realm", "Millennium" and now "The Lone Gunmen". He appeared in "The X-Files" episodes "Deep Throat", "Sleepless" and "Elegy". His movie roles include "Reindeer Games", "Look Who's Talking Now" and "Atomic Train" which featured an amazing number of actors who have appeared on The X-Files.

Robin Mossley (Dr. Belluci) has appeared in 4 X-Files episodes: "Young At Heart", "Our Town", "Tunguska" and "Terma". He was a frequent gurst on "MacGyver".

For information on Shawn Batten (Nurse Marilyn) check out her Official Website. She appeared in the movie "Quiz Show" and on TV starred in "Spyder Games" and "Sunset Beach" and was in 2 episodes of "Beverly Hills 90210".

Bill Macy (Mr. Dimsdale) has been in the "Seinfeld" episode "The Cadillac" plus the brilliant Darin Morgan "Millennium" episode "Somehow, Satan Got Behind Me". On TV he starred in "Maude" and was in the movies "Analyze This", "The Doctor" and "The Jerk".

Rob Freeman (Mr. Dimsdale’s Son) is another frequent X-Files guest, appearing in "Gethsemane", "Redux", "Christmas Carol" and "Emily". He also appeared in 2 "Millennium" episodes plus "Dark Angel" and "First Wave". His movie roles include "Saving Private Ryan, "The Russia House" and "Atomic Train".

Trivia:
The episode title "Diagnosis: Jimmy" is a reference to the movie "Diagnosis: Murder".
From TV Tome

The killer doctor, Rick Millikan, is named after The X-Files casting director who also had a small acting role in "The Beginning" episode.
