The Cast: Mimi Rogers
Mimi Rogers' role as Agent Diana Fowley on The X-Files was not her first foray into television. She has had recurring roles in the series Geena, Hill Street Blues, and the two HBO series Dream On and The Larry Sanders Show. In Sanders, she played herself, and reprised that role in the Robert Altman film, The Player. Her other film roles include Ginger Snaps, Lost in Space, Austin Powers, The Mirror Has Two Faces, Someone to Watch Over Me, The Doors and The Rapture, in which she starred with David Duchovny.
Mimi, who graduated high school at 14, served as Executive Producer, along with Dustin Hoffman, on the 1999 television movie The Devil's Arithmetic.
Agents Fowley and Mulder have a long history together. They dated when he left the Academy to join the FBI, and she was his founding partner on the X-Files. But she ended their relationship to take an assignment in Europe to secretly squelch abductee reports. Her background in parapsychology allowed her to take part in the investigation of young Gibson Praise in "The End" (5X20). Yet Scully's distrust of her is confirmed, when Mulder discovers in "One Son" (6X12) that Diana works under the auspices of the Cigarette-Smoking Man. She was assigned to re-open the X-Files with Agent Jeffrey Spender, and continued to foil Mulder and Scully's search for the truth.
With her conscience hovering, Diana helps Scully rescue Mulder after the CSM has their DNA transferred. Scully is saddened when she has to tell her partner that this resulted in Diana's murder.
