I
could not believe it when they told me that you were gone. I saw you barely four
hours ago. We had agreed to meet up tomorrow morning to go to school together.
You
went home, only to meet your Maker. He was drunk and crashed into you. You
tumbled with your precious little Beetle
down the hill, exploding into huge balls of fire.
I
did not cry when I heard the news. I felt numb and lost. I felt a jabbing pain
in my heart. I looked at our pictures and you were there, smiling that radiant
smile of yours.
It
was a grey and stormy day as we buried you forever in the ground. All of a
sudden a robin began to sing. Bright and clear. It would not stop. I looked up
the sky and saw the sun emerging out of the big grey clouds. Your family and I
smiled when we saw a tinge of rainbow in the sky. There are two tragedies in life. One is not getting what one wants, The other, Getting what one wants.
