Prelude - A Note From Gaspar by Gaspar

            I am Gaspar.  Keeper of time, and all knowing of the essence of time travel.  Not many know of my existence.  Not many know all there is to time.  Time is not something imagined.  It is something you can wield.  A substance.  It covers this world like a blanket, and anything covered is affected.

            Most don’t appreciate time.  What if it were to cease?  Would everything be static?  Would the world be an eternal, non-active field?  Or would we just not age, change at all?  Most would not need, or not care about these questions.

            But you’re not like most, are you.

            If you really want to know about time, it would take a lifetime to get it through your mind.  I have said all you need to know about time in my first paragraph.  Time is a thing.  It exists as sure as you know oxygen has to be in the air.  Without either, you know you couldn’t live.

            The possibilities with the altering of time are incredible.  Imagine if you had the power to correct every mistake you have made.  Every mistake your loved ones made.  To make the world a joyous place, and stop unneeded death from occurring.

            Would it bring happiness?

            Would it bring chaos?

            Would we go insane with power?

            Would it be the end of mankind?

            What would you do if you saved the world from an inevitable death with time?  What would you do if an even greater threat were presented to you?  Would you live your safe life knowing that your future generations would die off in the end?  Or would you take a stand?

            I have a story to tell you.  It is about a group of heroes.  They confront a menace so great, that maybe it was something inhuman that was on their side in the end that let them win.  Read, and see the outcome for yourself in the end.  I will title the story of these events . . . The Chrono Chronicles.
