I dedicate this page to the wonderful (albeit sometimes strange) world of chickens!  Above, you see a link to Random chicken, the site where the chickens are random.  A highly recommended site, and you may even see pictures I submitted of my own chickens on there!
To your left, you see my hen Grey.  She is a funny bird, with quirky mannerisms.  She recently scared me to death, she was quite sick for a while, but with some TLC, she is herself again,  thank heavens!

At night, most chickens like to roost on a perch. These are my four hens getting ready for bed.  Grey is the one looking  forward,  she is so funny looking with her grey beard. hehe
Below is a picture of my little hen Prima that I took in Feb. of this year after a snowfall,  which any snow is uncommon where I am from.

I have quite a few pictures of me and my hens I took during the snowfall, because I let the go for a walk during it.  They rather enjoy snow,  they peck at the snowflakes as they fall.  It was Prima's first snow,  so I took her on a walk with me. Below is a picture of me holding her.  She snuggled up under my coat when we sat down in the snow.  Very very cute and cuddly  hehe

We went for a walk that day in our blueberry patch,  which the bushes had no leaves at the time since it was winter then.  Now, they are full of berries, and she loves to walk with me out there and eat up all the berries  hehe.
Below is a picture of her looking at the snow.

It very rarely snows around here.  The problem is, I live so close to the coast, the warm insulation afforded by the ocean prevents a lot of snowfall here. Once or twice a year at the most we'll get maybe 1-2 inches of snow.  I have never built a snowman of significant height.  I have had a few snowfights however hehe

Below are some pictures of me feeding them some hot oatmeal while they walked around.  Oatmeal is a special treat I save for really cold days, like this.

They thoroughly enjoyed their hot dinner, it went well with the freezing temperatures.  Their feathers help to keep them nice and toasty as they walk about.
