My feathered and fishy pets

Here are some pictures of my chickens and of my fish tank...

This is a really neat shot I took of Pet and Grey.  Pet is the one in front,  with no beard,  and Grey is the one in the back.  Grey is such a funny bird,  she is very quirky,  and oh so cute!  lol    Pet is my oldest hen;  she is the first Aracauna I ever got,  and I fell in love with the breed after her,  lol.  She is at the top of the "pecking order" in the chicken coop;  it is almost like she tells the others what to do...I have watched her in action,  and I've noticed that all she has to do is give one of the other chickens a certain sideways look,  and they do whatever she wants,  whether it is to get out of her way or what,  lol.

Aurum the Hen-
I named her Aurum because she is very golden coloured,  and Aurum is latin for Gold.  (hence "Au" on the periodic table of elements,  lol)

This picture I took of her in her nest actually won an award in the fair last year.  She is a funny looking thing,  isn't she?  lol

This is Primavera,  my newest Aracauna.  I got her last year in the springtime,  so I thought the name Primavera  (or Prima for short)  would be a good name,  as it means "spring"  in Spanish.  She is so cute and sweet,  and she follows me around like a little dog.  She'll sit on my lap and look up at me with these bright golden eyes;  such a look she gives me makes me believe that there is more intelligience in that bird brain of hers than most would give her credit for.

This is my 50 gallon tank;  and I know,  I know,  it is not the greatest shot,  but fish tanks are notorious for being difficult to take photos of,  because of the glare and distortion caused by the glass.  But anyway,  it gives you an idea of what it looks like,  although it is much much prettier in real life,  lol.
