MethodBeat the eggs in a large mixing bowl. Add brown sugar, molasses and melted butter. Mix the spices, soda, baking powder and salt with the flour and sift into the bowl. Stir everything together "as if you meant it"! Pour the boiling water in the last thing and give the material another mixing. Don't panic - it will sem runny. Bake 45 minutes at 180 C Never put whipped cream on gingerbread. A chunk of butter melted into the spicy hot goodness is acceptable.
