A meeting of the New York & District Cornish
Association took place at Blake’s Star Hotel. Clarkson Street, New York the
headquarters of this interesting and growing institution. Mr Sedgeman of
Porthleven presiding. A very pleasant evening was spent, songs recitations and
music pleasing to cornish folks ears were rendered after which refreshments were
served by the popular and genial host Mr Sid Blake. On Saturday May 3rd
the Association will entertain Sir William Treloar who is making a trip to North
America.
Cornish people will find a hearty welcome.
