FAQ

Hopefully we will answer some of your questions here.

1. What are your adoption requirements?

1. An application for adoption
2. 3 Personal UNRELATED references
3. A Vet Reference
4. A home visit
5. An adoption fee
6. An Adoption Agreement signed by both adopter and rescue volunteer

2. What is your adoption fee?

The *Average* adoption fee is $150. This can change depending on how much was done for the dog prior to the adoption.Vet bills are the reason why the fee goes up.

Puppies are generally $250-$300

3. What if I live outside of BC or far from your rescue area, can I still adopt a cocker through your organization?

We do allow out of area adoptions as long as we have a fellow "rescuer" to buddy your dog should something go wrong.

4. How do you raise money to take care of the dogs?

Cocker Spaniel Rescue relies on donations of food from vendors and monetary donations from the adoptions.
We are not a 'non profit" organization (yet) but all money received is kept only for the dogs.

5. Do you adopt to families with small children?

We now have a FIRM policy in place where we do not adopt our dogs out to home with children under age 10.
