5. Moses² Maggard (John¹) (#1613) was born in Letcher County, Ky 5 Mar 1824. Moses died 1899 in Maggard Branch, Leslie County, Ky, at 75 years of age.

He married twice. He married Betsey Pace. (Betsey Pace is #159.) He married Elizabeth Miniard in Harlan County, Ky, 15 Feb 1849. (Elizabeth Miniard is #39.) Elizabeth became the mother of Albner B. Maggard in Maggard Branch, Leslie County, Ky, 1850. Elizabeth became the mother of John Gilbert Maggard 1851. Elizabeth became the mother of James Maggard in Cutshin, Leslie County, Ky, 1852. Elizabeth became the mother of Tilda Maggard 1854. Elizabeth became the mother of Reuben Maggard 1856.

At 26 years of age Moses became the father of Albner B. Maggard in Maggard Branch, Leslie County, Ky, 1850. At 27 years of age Moses became the father of John Gilbert Maggard 1851. At 28 years of age Moses became the father of James Maggard in Cutshin, Leslie County, Ky, 1852. At 30 years of age Moses became the father of Tilda Maggard 1854. At 32 years of age Moses became the father of Reuben Maggard 1856.

Moses Maggard and Elizabeth Miniard had the following children:

+ 31 i. Albner B.³ Maggard was born 1850.

+ 32 ii. John Gilbert Maggard was born 1851.

+ 33 iii. James Maggard was born 1852.

34 iv. Tilda Maggard (#163) was born 1854. She married Pennington. ( Pennington is #353.)

+ 35 v. Reuben Maggard was born 1856.
