"Just when you think, the party's over..." Murphy muttered, setting
up for take off. "This is going to be bad...." Max said, looking
to Murphy. "Try disastrous!" He replied. "Wonderful..." Max finished, buckling himself
back in. "What can we do?" Asked Sue, tightening her own seatbelt. "I'm
patching the targeting computer over to you and Tammy's station!
You two, know more about these animals then anyone. Including were
to hit 'em!" Murphy explained. "We'll do our best." Sue replied.
"Max, keep an eye on the core system... Tell me when we
break the red zone..." "Right..." Max checked his monitors.
The striken Skyfire
lifted off, sluggishly... Murphy's pilots did a wonderful job at balancing
the forward thrust, alowing a 'jurky' vertical assent. 'Pearl' had
made shore, once again. And now watched, as the massive machine
took to the air. "... I'm hoping, you have a plan, here..?"
Max inquired, as he noticed the monster's interest. "... How 'bout,
tag?" Murphy answered, Max looked at him with question. "If he'll
follow us... We can lead him away from the city... Up Diamond-head!"
Murphy explained. "Ahh... So if we blow up, we can take him with
us... Looking forward to it, Murph." Max said, sarcasticly. "We'll be
outta here, before that happens... But yeah, Skyfire will take him
out!"
"How's the target
looking?" Murphy asked the women. "He's locked in, we're going for
his mouth." Sue answered. "Give 'em a few warm ups...See if
he'll bite." Murphy said. "Done!" Sue said, pushing the fire button.
Two rockets lept from Skyfire's topside launchers... Exploding around the
monster's giant head. The beast let out a scream... It was clearly
unhappy. "He's gearing up for a blast!" Tammy exclaimed, watching
it's reaction. "Move us, aside....Now!" Murphy ordered, addressing his two
pilots. "Yes sir!" The super ship slid toward the direction of
Diamind-head crater. Pearl Godzilla's fire blast, struck right were it
had been. This aggravated the monster even more.
The monster reptile
watched the ship's movment... and followed. In Skyfire's control room, the
group watched as well. The monster advanced it's position... slowly. There
was a hint of unsteady slugishness about it. "... He doesn't look
well!" Sue exclaimed. "Then maybe, he did eat." Muphy answered. "It looks
that way." Tammy added. Hearing the others, Max smiled... Adding. "We're evenly
matched, now!" Murphy felt a wave of confidence. "Hit 'em again... Then
move us back!" He ordered.
More missiles were
launched, and the ship backed off, closer still, to the old
volcano. The angry monster continued it's slow pursuite. "This might
work after all!" Tammy smiled. "Yeah... And with his condition, it'll
be like shooting fish in a barrel!" Sue added. "It'll have
to work a little quicker... We're gonna melt, soon!" Max exclaimed,
reading his monitors. Murphy looked to his own read-outs. "Ok...Hit
'em with everything we have left!" He ordered.
The giant ship
opened fire... It looked like the fourth of July, as rockets,
missiles and energy weapons streaked from it's hull. The force of
this onslaught, knocked the beast back.. throwing it to earth. Godzilla
was down, but not out. As the amunition was spent, Murphy ordered
the Skyfire to a position near the crest of Diamond-head's massive
cone. With the ship moving back, He sent out a distress call
to FendTech's Headquarters. Helicopters would arrive soon.

Skyfire had reached
it's position... And was struggling to stay aloft. Smoke billowed from
it's cooling vents. The ship's power system was over heating. "...Things
are getting a little serious, here!" Max muttered, Murphy looked again
to his monitors in confirmation. "I'm re-routing all coolants from the
weapons, this should keep us around for a few more minutes!" Murphy
explained, as he worked over his contol panel. "We're out of missiles,
anyway!" Sue answered. Murphy switched on the ship's intercom. "All unnecessary
personel, evacuate immediately! That's an order!" He said.
Several small hatches
opened, from under the giant ship... Small, personal hover-styled machines
escaped from them. As this took place, Godzilla had regained it's
balance... And was heading for the doomed machine. The monster was wounded,
and exibited some of the frothy looking material... But nowhere near
the amount that 'Molokai' had. Either way, he was pissed.
"Ohhh shit...Here
we go!" Max said. "We got anything left?" Murphy asked the women. "Energy
weapons only... And they're low on power!" Tammy answered. "Use 'em, anyway!"
Murphy exclaimed. "With out coolent, they'll blow..." Sue reminded. "Like we
got a choice?!" Murphy shot back. Godzilla was coming... Slowly, stepping
carefully along the crest of the crater. FendTech's copters were
coming, as well.
"Looks like, you
got your selves in a hell of a bind!" Came Stanton's voice
over the radio. "Where are you??" Murphy exclaimed. "In chopper one,
coming up on your seven!" Came the response. "Great!.. You might wanna
keep some distance... This thing's about to blow!" Murphy explained. "We know...
It's a danmed good plan,.. I'm coming in for you, so set up
auto systems!" Stanton radioed back. "Copy that!" Murphy affirmed.
Godzilla was
closing in... Murphy hurried to patch in the auto pilot controls. "We
got two minutes before total core breach!" Max exclaimed. "I'm aware
of that, thank you!" Murphy said, still frantically working. Godzilla was
right in front of them, now... Ready to attack. "Give him something
to think about!" Murphy ordered. Sue pressed the fire button again.
The forward energy guns, let lose on the monster. They found
a target in it's open mouth. As Skyfire attacked the creature,
Stanton used the diversion to land his copter on the ship's
back... Aft of the control room. "Let's get the hell outta here!" Murphy
ordered.
The crew evacuated
the control center, heading for the waiting copter. Skyfire's auto controls
fought to keep the massive ship level... Making the copter's escape
nail-bitting. As the copter lifted away, the forward energy guns exploded...
Ripping the ship's front to shreds. These explosions effected Godzilla
as well. Futher thowing off it's attack. But timming is everything... This
allowed safe passage, for the escaping chopper.
Godzilla retaliated...
Firing it's atomic breath on the now vacant machine. This was
all the Skyfire could take... And in a blinding flash, the machine
exploded! The fireball was so intense, it lit up the entire beach-front,
swallowing the mighty reptile. This was followed by a shock wave,
blowing out windows all over the city. Fendtech's copters had trouble
keeping flight, but managed through it.
The massive detonation
sparked a landslide. Huge bolders, trees, rubble... And the badly battered
and wounded Godzilla... Tumbled down into the sea! All on Stanton's
copter, watched the ocean as material continued to fall in. After
several minutes, the rock fall subsided... There was no sign of the
monster. Prehaps this was more, then the massive reptile could take.
Either way, Godzilla never re-appeared... He was gone.
