to my website, my name is Dave, and I've been riding bikes for 21 years. This site is dedicated to the thrills of motorcycles and highlights the aspects of it I found most enjoyable. You can simply navigate around this site by clicking on the different sections shown at the top of each page.
About us - "The four", have been riding together now for several years and includes myself, Pete, Hugh and Steve. Most Sunday mornings we set off from Warrington and head into Wales, usually ending up at the Ponderosa Cafe, which is situated at the top of the Horseshoe Pass for a warm cup of coffee (well recommended cafe - biker friendly for a change)..
We tend to make the most of the good weather, and I personally I don't enjoy riding in winter conditions. Last year we finished riding at the end of October, and we'll probably start up again in March. In 2000 we began riding in February, resulting in one of us (me!) binning it on the Cat and Fiddle road (near Macclesfield, see sunday runs ).
As you are all aware the Summer was the short, in comparison to 1999, and at least two of us had more demanding work commitments - anyway we only covered 3000 miles, whereas in '99 it was nearer 5000. I, at least intend to do a lot more miles both on the road and on the track this year.
The road riding might of been a disappointment but the rounds of the World Superbikes both at Donnington and Brands Hatch (twice!) and the Grand Prix were simply awesome (see race reviews).
Hoping you enjoy my first attempt at a web site ~~~~~ Dave.
