Welcome to the most realistic sports title available on a home system! NFL 2K will raise your roof with highly detailed player statistics, attributes, even FACES, stadiums, field conditions, announcing...YOU NAME IT ITS GOT IT!
Watch out Madden cause here comes NFL2K. You will have the most enjoyable gameplay experience with this game. Yet again, here's another reason just to buy the Dreamcast, besides Soul Calibur. With great computer AI, you always are in for a challenge, so choose your plays wisely. The only problem I see here is that the Pro mode is a little too hard, and at sometimes almost impossible. I also think the running game could have been a little better. With a VMU, you can hide your plays from your cheating friends so you can totally surprise them! It's amazing because if the field conditions are snowy for example, the quarterback has a rough time seeing his receivers, and can't perform to his expectations. With this kind of gameplay, you don't even have to like football to enjoy this stellar sports title.
With very detailed create a player, team, and play options, there are endless possibilities as to how far into the game you can get. So detailed in fact you can design your team with a customizable logo, and stadium. With your team of course comes your players. Right down to choosing how muscular, or if you want a visor, gloves, elbow pads...etc. comes the create a player screen. There is almost too much to say about this game, so I will stop here, and let you figure out the rest!
Sound is one of this games greatest aspects. The announcers are almost perfectly on key to every play you execute. They cover the games quite realisticly, making you wonder if you are actually watching Monday Night Football, or playing your Dreamcast!
Overall this game is amazingly deep, and fun to the very bone. There is no reason that you should not have this game...well, unless you don't own a Dreamcast.
