1. Take JR Yamanote line to Shibuya Station (appx 30 minutes away from Tokyo Station if JR line are taken). Just one station away from Harajuku (where Meiji Jingu Inner Garden is).
or... Just one station away from Ebisu, where Italian Iron Chef's restruant is...
Now at this point you have two choices
Choice #1:
you can visit the supermarket at basement (Tokyu Food Show
), you will
found some of the Sakai-san desserts. e.g.
Swiss Roll 550 Yen/ea (as seen on www.ironchef.com),
Pudding 200 Yen/ea or 600 Yen/Box of 3.
Just look around for Sakai's Poster
Choice #2: Go check out Sakai's restaurant!
2. Take a peek at the
map at the subway station.
3. Take the EAST exit. (i.e. the exit towards the Police Station)
4. Once outside the station, you should see stairs to a bridge on your LEFT, go up the stairs.
5. The bridge is a bit like a maze (Suggest you print a copy of the map and follow the blue line). Thumb of rule, keep left, and don't walk under the Hwy 3 above your head. (i.e. Not towards the police station) I have learn that by mistake.
6. Once you are off the bridge, keep walking forward, and you will see a second bridge, take that one and cross the road
7. Now you should be at Cross Tower.
8. Go inside, you will see a directory. Take the evaluator to 32/F. And there you are!
Bonus! At the Shibuya station, there is a travel agent, and I spotted a flyer for a tour to China have Chen's Picture on the cover!
