Technical Officer
Stop TB Initiative
We are looking for a technical officer to work with the Stop TB Initiative at WHO.

The position will be a P2 Technical Officer. The main responsibility includes: --supporting the development of a Global TB Drug Facility and particularly to support issues relating to the procurement and supply of quality assured TB drugs for operations of the GDF.
The GDF is a global mechanism to ensure universal, uninterrupted access to quality TB drugs for DOTS implementation. More information regarding the GDF can be found at http://www.stoptb.org/GDF/Index.htm.
The position is short-term, with the possibility for renewel. The team is small (about 10) and full of young, bright people. We would need someone to start in March on an initial contract for 6 months and then renewal - this can be negotiated. The salary will be US$3,000 - US$4,000 per month (tax free) depending on professional experience.
We are looking for someone with the following qualifications:
1. University degree with post graduate qualification in health or social science (MPH, MBA);
2. Knowledge of international health, human development, policy and administration, international relations;
3. Work experience, preferably at country level, as well as in international organizations;
4. Experience in working effectively with various organizations, including donor agencies, national governments, NGOs and the private sector;
5. Managerial, negotiation, computer, verbal and written skills;
6. Fluency in English required and competence in French and/or Spanish desirable.
