WiMAX is a standards-based wireless technology that provides high-throughput broadband connections over long distances. WiMAX
can be used for a number of applications, including "last mile" broadband connections, hotspots and cellular backhaul,
and high-speed enterprise connectivity for business.
It will allow for any wireless based technology to be controlled for a centralized handheld devoce over long distances.
You will now be able to control your TV, answer any phone calls, surf the Web, and even video link from a single device -
from anywhere in te world that has a data link to satellite.
