A candidate must have demonstrated a high degree of proficiency in basketball, demonstrate academic success, have the capability
of being accepted at a post secondary institution, be of good character, a good community citizen and demonstrate positive
leadership.
Criteria:
Outstanding basketball abilities
Positive attitude as a student/athlete
Scholastic success
Service to the community.
Graduating in June
Member of Surrey High School Basketball Team.
The following must accompany the application
1. A letter from the candidate explaining why you would be a good recipient for this award.
2. A letter from your coach describing the candidate's character, leadership and basketball history.
3. A letter from a member of the community (if necessary, may include the school community) indicating community service/activities,
leadership qualities and character.
4. Transcripts of Grades 11 and 12 marks signed by a school administrator. Courses currently enrolled must also be included.
