GENEALOGY

Bro. Erle Frayne Argonza's genealogy comprises of lineages of diverse ethno-linguistic and racial backgrounds. He was sired by Steve Argonza and Felisha Delago, both Filipinos who have migrated to North America. He grew up in a family of six siblings (1st-Ethleen, 2nd-Erle Frayne, 3rd-Eurlyne Feliza, 4th-Erone Farlo, 5th-Emerald, 6th-Evert Estanislao). His family-of-orientation speaks in Ibanag, Filipino and English. He remains single/unmarried up until these days.

His father, Steve (originally Estanislao Jr.), is a career marketing man, but who had also dabbled in social development (community development & cooperatives) as a one-time government middle manager. The father was also a former soldier who was a PEFTOK veteran (Korean War). His mother, a dietician, had directed the dietetics department of government hospitals in the Philippines and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. She currently continues her hospital work in the U.S.A..

On his paternal lineage, his grandfather, the late Don Estanislao Esguerra Argonza (musical genius, mathematician) was of Ibanag and Basque Spanish ancestry. The Argonzas trace their origin to a Basque Spaniard who settled in Nueva Segovia city of Cagayan province, married a native (Ibanag), and whose other descendants intermarried with members of the following families of Spanish origin: Dupaya, Vargas, Monina, Cauilan, Austria, and Camacho. The Argonzas are also related to the Aranetas of Negros island. His grandmother, the late Dona Faustina Narag Argonza (public school teacher), was of Ibanag roots and was a daughter of the wealthy gentry Don Juan Narag. The Narags trace ancestry to the ancient warrior-nobles of Northern Philippines. The Narags are related to the Tamarays, Simangans, Sorianos, and Reyeses with whom they share common landlord roots.

On his maternal side, his grandfather, who hails from the Delago family of Cebu &Negros, was of Cebuano and Chinese roots. His grandfather died at the Fort Santiago as a war martyr, victim of Japanese atrocities during the past war. His grandmother, Soledad Nalundasan Nonesa, is of Ilocano and Chinese roots, and hails from the Ilocos region. Mdm. Soledad is a daughter of Dona Marcela Nalundasan, sister of the late Congressman Julio Nalundasan, one time the most powerful politician in the Ilocos region. Like the Narags, the Nalundasans were of landlord origin, and trace ancestry to the ancient princely nobles of the North. His maternal grandmother is still alive today, living a retired life in the Philippines.

The cells of life
Are as wise as the sands in the dune
For than each quartz crystal of sand
Reproduces the whole universe
In its infinity
'Tis the true Father-Mother
Of all that is
