Episode 5 - No Need For Ed-boys
by: Double T

The Eds went to the Kankers trailer to give them the drink. When the Kankers weren’t home, the Eds pour the drink in a pitcher. By the time the Kankers went back home, they got a drink out of the pitcher without realizing that it was the Eds drink. The Kankers love them even more than before, and after making a crashing noise outside, the Kankers discover the Eds near their window under some debris. They take the Eds in and get themselves ready, but the Eds escape from them . . .

After running from the Kankers, the Eds became exhausted. "That was a total waste of time!" Eddy shouted, panting. "But Eddy," Edd said, also panting, "You wanted to do that. It was your idea." "Alright Double D!" Eddy yelled, "All we need to do is wait." "Wait for what," Ed asked. "For the other kids in the cul-de-sac to get a taste of our drink," Eddy said, "And bingo, no more tortures, name-calling, and we’ll be popular!" "If only we were on TV," Ed added. "Um, Ed?" Edd explained, but Eddy interrupted him. "Come on guys!" Eddy yelled, "Let’s go see how ‘my’ brilliant plan is working!" "But, Eddy," Ed said, "We forgot Rolf, as he is a person, we shall never forget, because he is Rolf." Eddy thought about it. He remembered all the people who fell for it, and he forgot Rolf. "Oh well. Off to Rolf’s, Ed!" Eddy yelled, pointing to Rolf’s house. "Anyway," Eddy thought, "It doesn’t hurt to give an extra quarter." Ed picked up Edd and Eddy, and he ran to Rolf’s house.

At Rolf’s house, the Eds hid behind the fence. There, they planned on what they should do. "Rolf should be an easy person to pull," Eddy said to himself. He then got an idea, and he told Ed and Edd to go out from the hiding spot. "But Eddy," Edd said, "What are we suppose to do. You’ve not yet instructed us any sort of way to persuade Rolf in purchasing our drink!" Eddy just pushed them out, and Rolf spotted them. "Hello Ed-boys!" Rolf greeted.

Thinking quickly, Edd thought of a way of his own. "Aahhh!!!" Edd acted, "I’m so fatigued!" Edd acted like he was dying of thirst. Ed became worried. He didn’t know Edd was only acting. "Aaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!" Ed screamed, "Double D!" "Ed!" Edd whispered, "Shh! I’m only acting! I’m not really weakening." "What?" Ed asked. Edd sighed, and continued whispering, "I’m pretending Ed." "Oh," Ed confirmed, talking out loud, "Okay, pretending. Got it Double D!" Rolf wondered why the "Ed-boys" were acting like that.

Before Ed said anything else that would spoil the scam, he quickly jumped out of the fence, and he thought of something to say for a second. "Double D!" Eddy yelled, acting too, "Speak to me buddy!" "But Eddy," Ed said, "Double D said it’s only pretend!" "I know that Ed!" Eddy whispered. Eddy went back to acting. "I am in need for a beverage, Eddy," Edd dryly said. Eddy then gave Edd one of the extra empty bottles that was just filled up with water, which they had planned earlier. Edd drank from the bottle, and he went back to normal. "Yay!" Ed shouted, running around, "Double D’s back!" Rolf clapped at their "performance."

Eddy then told Rolf about the drink, like how he said it to the other kids. "You silly Ed-boys!" Rolf said, "You remind me of the story of my great nano and my great nana and how they had their farm in my country." Rolf told them the story of his great nano and great nana. " . . . And that is how they became the best juicers in my country," Rolf ended. It took most of the day for him to tell the story to the Eds.

"So Rolf," Eddy said, a bit bored from Rolf’s story, "Do you want to buy our drink?" Rolf thought for a while. "Rolf must think about this," Rolf said, then continued thinking. He dug up some soil with his hand and he "listened" to it. Rolf nodded, while the soil "talked" to him. "Okay Ed-boys!" Rolf agreed, "The soil knows all!" Eddy was finally happy that day, that he got his quarter.

The Eds started to leave but Rolf stopped them. "Wait Ed boys!" Rolf called out, "Don’t you want to hear anymore of my stories of how my great nano and great nana sell their juice throughout the whole village?" "Uh," Eddy stammered, "That’s swell, Rolfy-boy. But we’re outa here." "Life’s not too short Ed-boys!" Rolf said, before they left.

It was already evening when the Eds got out of Rolf’s house. "This has been quite a day," Edd said. "But it’s too dark for it to be day Double D," Ed corrected. "Either that or there’s a solar eclipse that seemed to be predicted wrong," Edd said, "But it’s dark though." "You said it!" Eddy said, hugging his money jar, "Let’s go guys! Tomorrow is the day for us to be the 3 most popular kids in the whole cul-de-sac!" "Are you really sure about this Eddy?" Edd asked. "Of course Double D!" Eddy answered, "What makes ya say that?" "Well Eddy," Edd responded, "About 98% of the scams you’ve made backfired, leaving 2% qualified." Ed laughed and said, "2% milk is good for you!" "Well Mr. Genius," Eddy argued, "What were the 2%?" "The time you accused Johnny of stealing, and the time we mowed everyone’s grass." Eddy didn’t say anything back, and the Eds went back to their houses to see what would happen the next day.
