Eddchi Muyo!
Episode 6 - No Need For Best Friends
by: Double T

The Eds went to Rolf’s place to sell him the drink right after their trip to the Kankers. After handling Rolf, the Eds are now done selling their drinks. Now, it’s the next day, and the Eds wait until the other kids in the cul-de-sac make the Eds the most popular kids . . .

"Good morning Ed," Edd greeted Ed the next morning. "Hello Double D!" Ed greeted back. Eddy wasn’t with Ed or Edd. "What’s Eddy, Ed?" Edd asked. "Eddy’s sleeping," Ed answered. "Please retrieve him for me Ed," Edd requested. "Okay," Ed said, and he ran to get Eddy. Edd decided to come along, just to make sure it goes right.

At Eddy’s house, Ed and Edd decided to play a small prank on him to start him up. The two snuck in, counted to 3, then, "DOGPILE!" Ed and Edd yelled, and they jumped on Eddy’s bed. Eddy was so shocked, it scared him till he hit the ceiling. When Eddy finally got down, he warned Ed and Edd, "You guys are lucky to be my friends," "Friends!" Ed shouted happily, and he hugged Edd and Eddy. Eddy remembered that today was the day to be "popular." Eddy quickly got ready and ran outside, in the middle of the cul-de-sac.

"The Eds have arrived!" Eddy shouted out loud, acting stately. There was only silence for a while. Then, a whole crowd came up to the Eds. "Guys!" Eddy yelled out, with lots of excitement, "Look! It’s working!" As the crowd came, they started to go all over the Eds, especially Nazz and Sarah. Kevin and Rolf invited the Eds to play a short game with them. "How about a football game, pals?" Kevin offered. "Join Rolf in a basketball game, my-friends-the-Ed-boys?" Rolf asked. Jimmy asked them if they wanted to plant flowers in the garden. "Uncle Eddy?" Jimmy asked, "Do you want to help me plant posies and daisies?" Even Johnny and Plank wanted to be the Eds friends. "Plank says he wants to play a game of ‘truth or dare,’" Johnny said, "You guys want to join us?" Nazz wanted to ask Eddy out, and Sarah wanted to be with Edd. Edd and Eddy were a bit nervous when they asked them out. "Look at this guys!" Eddy said, now calm, "We’re the center of everyone’s attention!" "But I like being Ed," Ed said. "Ed," Edd said, "You are still Ed." Ed smiled.

The Eds are finally relaxed by the way they’re treated by the kids of the cul-de-sac. "We should have thought of this sooner!" Eddy said. The Eds were in the middle of the cul-de-sac, on beach chairs. Behind them was a vacation-like background on cardboard. The Eds were treated like kings. "This is THE life!" Eddy said. Edd seemed to like it too, and he finally realized why Eddy wanted attention. "Ahh," Edd said, with relaxation, "I finally do have to assent to what has happened to us." Ed was also relaxed on his beach chair, wearing "vacation clothes," - his Christmas outfit.

"Is this the first time you were ever ‘carefree’ Double D?" Eddy asked. Edd thought about it. He has been cautious, obsessive-compulsive, and nervous all the time. Then it seemed to snap him. "I do feel blithe for the first time!" Edd said, now realizing he’s found a way to be "free." Edd nearly forgot some of his intelligence levels, but he still kept all the important things.

Not far were the Kankers. They were hiding behind a nearby mailbox. "Look!" Lee whispered, point at the Eds, "There they are!" May and Marie looked at where they were. When they saw them, they had big smiles on their faces. They almost went out in the open where the Eds might see them, but Lee stopped them. "Where do you think you’re going?" Lee asked. "To see our boyfriends," May and Marie answered. "We need a plan first girls," Lee said, "Okay. This is what we do." The Kankers huddled together talking about their plan. The Eds didn’t realize anything on what was going on, except being treated full of luxury.
