Episode 8 - No Need An A Sale

The Eds were caught by the Kankers, but they managed to get away. They started to go to Edd’s house, with the Kankers following them. Edd was then working on an antidote, and Eddy gave some to the Kankers, without them knowing. When the Kankers drank it, they lose their interest in loving the Eds. Eddy was then happy, but Edd warned him that the antidote would soon wear off, and that they should also give the other kids in the cul-de-sac the antidote too because the previous drink will also wear off when the antidote wears off too. Only the ones who drank the first drink, but doesn’t wear off when the antidote does, then those will be meant to be with the Eds. Now the Eds have to face a hard decision . . .
"Now what are we going to do Double D?" Eddy asked. "Don’t rush me Eddy," Edd said. Edd and Eddy thought of what they can do. Ed, meanwhile, was busy making a stand outside. Eddy saw what Ed was doing, and ran outside, with Edd following. "Ed!" Eddy called out, "You found a brain!" "Yes I do," Ed said, not realizing what idea snapped into Eddy’s mind, "Uh, . . . what did I do?" "Nothing much Ed," Edd answered, "You just sparked up some crazy idea into Eddy’s subconscious mind, causing him to form a scam to be done." "I don’t know what one looks like Double D," Ed said.
The Eds continued on building the stand that Ed started. It took them most of the day to finish it. "Is it done yet?" Eddy asked. "Eddy!" Edd yelled, "If it was done, then we wouldn’t be continuing to build it!" Ed heard what Edd was saying and watched. "Naughty Eddy," Ed finished. "Shut up Ed!" Eddy said back.
Finally, when their stand was done, the Eds came up with a name for it. "Here it is," Edd stated, "This is ‘The Eds’ Drink Shoppe.’" The Eds then got all of the bottles full of Edd’s homemade antidote, and placed them all on the counter-shelf of their stand.
Ed went in his house, and found an old loudspeaker. He decided to ask Eddy if it could help. "Look Eddy!" Ed said, holding up the loudspeaker, "It looks like the mouth of the 3-headed wolf person from "Full Moon Werewolf 4: The Attack of the 3-headed Wolf Man." "Whatever," Eddy said, "Gimme it." Eddy grabbed the loudspeaker from Ed, and started to call the other kids from the loudspeaker. He was about to speak into the loudspeaker, when Ed stopped him. "No Eddy, don’t do that!" Ed said. "And why not?" Eddy asked. "Because if you do," Ed began, "the 3-headed wolf person will come from a hole in the ground and grab you and eat you alive and you’ll never come back to do scams or anything like that!" Eddy paused, and started again to speak into the loudspeaker. Again, Ed tried to stop him. "Double D!" Eddy called out, "Tell Ed to stop stopping me!" Edd sighed, and walked up to Ed, "Um, Ed," Edd said, "Can you please let Eddy go, so that he can speak into the loudspeaker?" "But Double D," Ed explained, "Eddy will be eaten alive by the - " "Quit it Ed!" Eddy said, and got himself free. Eddy handed Edd the loudspeaker, and told him to speak into it, while he put Ed in the house. "Come on Lumpy," Eddy said, grabbing on Ed’s jacket. Ed followed, acting like a dog. "Arf, arf!" Ed "barked."
As soon as Ed and Eddy were inside, Edd began to speak in the loudspeaker. Edd cleared his throat, and spoke, "Free drinks - " "FREE?" Eddy yelled out. He couldn’t believe why Edd would make the drinks free. "What are you saying Double D?" Eddy yelled, "You can’t make it free! Make them pay 50 cents each!"
Edd started again. "May I have your attention please? Drinks! Come and get drinks for 25 cents each! Come and buy them here at ‘The Eds’ Drink Shoppe." Eddy couldn’t believe that it was half-price, but at least he still had money. Edd continued on, until the kids in the cul-de-sac came by and bought the drinks.
All the kids in the cul-de-sac bought the antidote drinks. They did pay for their drinks, but not by 25 cents as Edd said, or 50 cents as Eddy had planned, but $1.00 each of the drinks bought. Eddy became so happy by what he saw. The drinks decreased, and the money increased, just what he wanted.
"This is so cool!" Eddy exclaimed. He didn’t realize the down side of having the antidote drinks. "Eddy," Edd said. "What do you want now Double D?" Eddy asked. "Don’t you see the downfall of this?" Edd asked. "What are you giving me?" Eddy wondered. "You do know that the kids are buying the antidote drinks," Edd explained, "But the downside of this is that we’ll lose our popularity from the other kids." "Now you tell me," Eddy said.
The kids all bought the drinks, and drank every drop. After a while, the antidote took effect, and soon all the kids were back to normal.
The Eds went up to them, wondering if it worked. Ed went up to Sarah, Edd to Kevin, and Eddy to Nazz. "Baby sister?" Ed said, "Are you okay Sarah?" Sarah, who was back to normal, became her usual self, and yelled at Ed. "Back off Fish Face!" Sarah yelled. "Sarah’s mad," Ed said. "Kevin?" Edd said. Kevin got up, seeing Edd. "Dork!" Kevin yelled, and gave Edd a black eye. "Kevin seems to be back to his original state," Edd said weakly. "Nazz?" Eddy said, "Are you alright?" Nazz saw Eddy, and giggled. Eddy knew she was back to normal. "Hi Eddy," Nazz said, waving her hand a bit. This made Eddy faint.
The Eds began to realize that everyone was back to normal. "Everyone’s here!" Ed said, "Now I can get a chicken!" Edd came to Ed and Eddy. Eddy noticed Edd’s black eye, and asked, "What’s with you?" "Don’t ask," Edd said. Edd didn’t like to talk about how he got it. Instead, Edd changed the subject. "Are you happy now?" Edd asked. "Well," Eddy started, "Kind of. We’ll lose our popularity, but, at least we still have money." Eddy got his jar full of money, and shook it. "Ahh," Eddy sighed joyfully, "That’s music to my ears." Edd shook his head. He knew anything related to money was music to his ears.
