Episode 10 - No Need Reality

The Eds were going to the candy store. They bought and ate some jawbreakers. When they went out, they met someone new. A girl. Her name was Cherri, but said that they can call her "Double R." She said that she likes jawbreakers as much as the Eds, and she also lives in the same cul-de-sac as they do. She appears to like Edd, and now, the next day, Edd finds out that he’ll find out just how popular he really is . . .
A few days later, Edd looked out his window. He stared out to Cherri’s house for a while with a loving look on his face. He remembered what the Eds and she did for the last few days. Then he noticed that one of the houses in the cul-de-sac was sold. "New neighbors again," Edd said to himself, "I should go and greet them." Edd got himself ready, and went outside to see the new neighbors.
When he went there, he saw a new girl there. Edd stopped, amazed to see another girl in the neighborhood. "Hi," she said. Edd stammered when he said his greeting. "H-hi," Edd said. The new girl giggled by the way of his greeting, and she introduced herself. "My name’s Joanie," she said. "‘Joanie?’" Edd said. She wondered about Edd. "And what’s your name?" she asked. "My name?" Edd asked himself, beginning to stammer again, "M-my name is E-Edward." Edd tried to smile to make up for his stammering, "But people sometimes call me E-Edd, and my friends call me "Double D.’" Joanie smiled back.
Meanwhile, Ed and Eddy were on their way to see Edd. They went over to Edd’s house. Ed kept ringing the doorbell in a constant way, but there was no answer. "Maybe Double D got eaten by an underground zombie who ate his hat off," Ed said, "And then Double D was scared and became - " "Ed!" Eddy interrupted, "Double D’s just not home! Come on. Maybe he’s at Double R’s house." So, they headed for Cherri’s house.
"No," Cherri said, "I haven’t seen Double D anywhere today." The three of them wondered where Edd could have been. "Look Eddy!" Ed said, pointing to a moving truck on the other end of the cul-de-sac, and knocking off their concentration. "Looks like someone’s moving in the cul-de-sac," Cherri said. "Let’s go see," Eddy suggested. Ed ran ahead of them. "First one there is a rotten egg!" Ed called out.
When they went to the new neighbor’s house, they saw Edd there, talking to Joanie. "I have a plan," Eddy said. He told Ed and Cherri what to do, then they went off to Edd. They snuck up behind him, and shouted, "Dogpile!" They jumped on Edd, making him go to the ground. Joanie giggled. "And these are your friends you’ve told me about?" Sarah asked. Edd nodded. Edd introduced them to her, and Edd introduced Sarah to his friends.
A few days have pasted, with Joanie and Cherri falling in love with Edd. Edd was unaware of their love for him, and he thought that they were just friends to him. Joanie and Cherri had a plan of their own. They started to think up their plan. It took them a few days to make it up. "I have an idea!" Joanie said. "Really?" Cherri said, "What is it?" "Let’s go ask Double D on a date," Joanie said. Cherri laughed. "Kind of like a ‘Double Date,’ right?" Cherri joked. "Right," Sarah answered. The two of them planned it, and decided to ask Edd later on.
One day, Joanie and Cherri asked the Eds for a treat of jawbreakers. They went off to the candy store and bought a few of them. "You guys want to go to the park later on?" Cherri asked. "Sure," Edd answered. "Okay," Eddy agreed. "Nope, can’t think of a word," Ed said. "Great," Joanie said. The 5 of them finished up their jawbreakers, and headed for the park nearby.
On the way to the park, Joanie and Cherri whispered to themselves. "I guess that part worked out," Joanie said. "Oui," Cherri agreed, "Now all we have to do, is ask Double D." They walked a bit more, and saw a movie poster on a wall. Ed, who was crazy for movies, ran up to the poster. "Movie!" Ed shouted, "What’s playing?" The rest caught up with Ed, and read the movie’s title. "Bounty Hunters’ Night‘s Revenge." The 5 of them were all amazed, and they all wanted to see the movie. "This’ll be perfect," Cherri whispered to Joanie. "Yeah," Joanie agreed, "If only we can get Double D to be with us."
After seeing the movie poster, they all headed for the park. "I’ve heard of this movie," Ed said, "It’s about these bounty hunters who try to get the heroes and they - " "Okay Ed," Eddy said. "Don’t spoil it for the rest of us," Edd said. The two girls agreed.
In the park, the two girls thought of a way to ask Edd to see the movie with them. They thought of it. "Look Ed," Cherri said, pointing to some nearby pigeons. Joanie joined in, saying, "Those birds there are kind of like chickens." "Chickens!" Ed exclaimed, and ran toward the birds. Eddy tried to stop Ed, and ran after him. Edd stayed behind. "Now’s our chance," Joanie said. "Let’s ask him now then," Cherri said.
They walked up to Edd, who was sitting on the park bench. "Hi Double D," they said in unison. Edd became very nervous. "H-hi girls," Edd greeted. The two girls sat on each side of Edd. "Double D," Joanie sang in a persuading way. "Are you doing anything this Friday evening?" Cherri asked. "Well, um," Edd stammered, "I don’t know yet. Why?" "Nothing much," Joanie said. "You know that movie, ‘Bounty Hunters’ Night’s Revenge’?" Cherri asked. "Yeah," Edd said, starting to get the idea on what’s going on. "Well," the two girls said in unison, "We were wondering if we can go see that movie together." The two of them then smiled their best to Edd. Edd sighed, and smiled too. "Okay," Edd said, "Just ‘us’ though?" "Well," Cherri said. "Ed and Eddy can watch in another row," Joanie explained. "Then," Edd said, still thinking about it, "That’s . . . uh, fine with me." Joanie and Cherri were so happy with Edd’s respond, and gave Edd a big hug.
Ed and Eddy were back, and Edd told them about the plan on Friday. "Cool!" Ed said happily. "Yes!" Eddy cheered, "Now we can see the movie after all." Joanie and Cherri were happy now too, because they’ll finally get to have a date with Edd. "This should be great," Cherri assured. "It will," Sarah agreed, "Because we’ll have Double D with us." The two of them giggled, and they all decided to go back home, waiting until Friday.
