Episode 11 - No Need Reality
Part 3
by: Double T

The Eds had a new neighbor named Cherri (Double R). After a few days, they had another new neighbor, Joanie. Now there are two girls in the cul-de-sac. They appear to have the same interests such as jawbreakers, and sci-fi movies. After eating jawbreakers, they see a movie poster, "Bounty Hunters’ Night’s Revenge." Joanie and Cherri decide to ask Edd on a date on it, along with Ed and Eddy. They agree to see it on Friday. And on the Thursday before that day . . .

"Hi Double D!" the two girls said. "Hi girls," Edd greeted. The 5 friends were in the store, where the Eds first met Cherri. They were trying to get new clothes for their special day tomorrow. They did a little shopping, and when they found the best clothes they could find, they decided to go to the candy store for jawbreakers. They bought their favorite flavors, and sat down eat them. They talked a bit while they ate.

"I’m so excited Eddy," Ed said happily. "We finally get to see one of the best movies we’ve ever seen," Eddy said joyfully. Everyone was so excited to see the movie tomorrow night, that it started to become hard to eat their jawbreakers their usual way, especially Edd. He had a funny feeling in him about Joanie and Cherri. "I think I’m starting to fall in . . . " Edd thought to himself, but he doubted, "No. It can’t be that." The Eds continued talking and eating their jawbreakers.

When they were walking back home, they went over what they’ll do the next day. "Okay," Cherri started, "First we, go to the movies." "And after that," Joanie continued, "We then go . . . " They continued on for a few minutes. Then they all went back to their houses.

The next day, Joanie and Cherri were all excited. They went over to Edd’s house, and they asked Edd if he had the movie tickets that he was supposed to get the day before. Edd suddenly panicked. "Oops," Edd said, worried, "I . . . uh . . . guess I forgot to buy the tickets yesterday." Edd was a bit frightened, saying that in front of Joanie and Cherri. "That’s okay Double D," Joanie said. "Oui," Cherri agreed, "You can just make it up by buying the tickets right now before we get ourselves ready, d‘accord?" Edd agreed, and went to the cinema to get the tickets.

On his way, he still had that funny feeling for the two girls. "Why am I like this?" Edd asked himself, "It started yesterday, but, it was like this when those two first moved in the cul-de-sac." Edd sighed and continued on his way to the cinema.

When he finally got there, he found himself in a long line. "I guess everyone has a date today," said someone. "I concur to that statement," Edd agreed. Edd turned around to see a girl behind him. "Hi," she greeted, "I’m Alex." Edd waved his hand. "Hi," Edd introduced, "I’m Edward." "Edward?" Alex asked. "Yeah," Edd said, "But some people call me, ‘Edd,’ and my friends call me, ‘Double D.’" "May I call you, ‘Double D’?" Alex asked. "Sure," Edd said. As the two talked in line, the line became shorter. "That line didn’t take as long as I had thought it would be," Edd said.

Edd went up to the counter, and grabbed out his money. "I’d like to buy 5 tickets to ‘Bounty Hunters’ Night’s Revenge,’" Edd said to the cashier. "‘Bounty Hunters’ Night’s Revenge’?" Alex asked, "I’m going to that movie later on tonight." "Really? That’s nice," Edd complimented. "But, why did you buy 5 tickets?" Alex asked. "My friends and I are going to see this movie," Edd explained. Alex bought one ticket for herself, but Edd decided to buy her a ticket. "Thanks," Alex thanked Edd. Edd blushed. As saying good-byes to each other, they noticed that they were heading in the same direction.

"Is your home in this direction?" Edd asked. Alex nodded, and smiled at Edd. Edd smiled back, and they decided to talk to each other some more. Edd told Alex about his friends, and Alex told Edd about how she was going to move in the same cul-de-sac the next day. Edd was amazed by her story, and he nearly fainted on the ground. "Double D?" Alex asked, "Are you okay?" Edd slowly woke up, and answered, "It’s just that in the last few weeks, the cul-de-sac has been having a few new neighbors." "Oh," Alex said, "That must be quite intriguing." "It is," Edd assured, and they both headed on their way back to their cul-de-sac.

"What’s taking Double D so long?" Cherri asked impatiently. "I don’t know," Sarah answered, "He doesn’t appear this late all the time." The two of them looked at their watches. "It’s nearly 7:00," they said, "We’re going to miss the movie!" The two of them decided to walk around the cul-de-sac circle to help not waste any time.

After about 5-10 laps, they saw Edd coming to them, with another girl, who was Alex. Joanie and Cherri just stood there looking at Edd. "And these are my two other friends I’ve told you about," Edd said to Alex, regarding Cherri and Joanie. Joanie and Cherri stood there waving their hands, being their friendliest. Ed and Eddy soon met up with them in the cul-de-sac center. "And these are Ed and Eddy," Edd introduced. " Hi. I’m Alex," she introduced herself, and also waved her hand.

"We got the tickets for the movie," Edd said, "We better hurry now, or else we’ll be late." The 6 of the friends ran their way to the movies.

On their way, Alex, Cherri, and Joanie decided to have a short race. "First one to get to the theater first gets to sit next to Double D," Cherri challenged. They agreed, and ran off with the Eds unaware of what they were doing. Ed, who thought of joining in, ran. He was soon catching up with the girls, then was soon in the lead. Alex, Cherri, and Joanie soon began to slow down, seeing that Ed was way ahead of them. "Forget it," Joanie said. "Yeah," Alex agreed, "Ed’s way ahead of us." Edd and Eddy, who were trying to catch up with them, finally did. They all decided to walk the rest of the way.

At the theater, they found Ed sitting on a seat in the lobby. "What’s with you Ed?" Eddy asked Ed. "I won!" Ed explained. "What what?" Eddy asked. Ed gave a thought of it for a while. "Hmm," Ed thought, "I forget."

Just then, they heard the clock dinging. "Oh my!" Edd exclaimed, "We must hurry in order for us to get a seat for all of us!" They all went to the movie room for "Bounty Hunters’ Night’s Revenge," and watched the movie. They still had a few minutes to wait since they hurried to their seats.

Inside the movie room, there was a bit of competition between the girls for Edd. "Double D’s sitting next to me!" Cherri whispered. "No!" Joanie shouted, nearly loud enough for the audience to hear, "Double D’s with me!" "You’re both wrong!" Alex disagreed, "He’s with me!" Edd became a bit embarrassed by what was going on. The, he thought of an idea. "I have a solution," Edd said.

Edd thought of letting Ed and Eddy sit next to him to stop the girls fight. Edd, in the middle of Ed and Eddy, looked at the girls. "Well," Edd said to them, "If you 3 didn’t have a seat-competition over me, then maybe you would be able to sit by me." "It wasn’t just a ‘seat-competition,’" Joanie whispered to Cherri and Alex, "It was more of a ‘love-competition." "Oui," Cherri agreed. As the previews began, the girls began thinking up how to get Edd to like them.
