The Station Square Terminal

Now Playing: "Speed Highway at Dawn" from Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast. Note that Speed Highway and Station Square are both part of the same city, so it's appropriate to this page as WELL as sounding great!

Step aboard the train at the Station Square terminal and find yourself in a different Sonic Zone today! All rides are free, but we CAN'T guarantee that you'll survive the trip...
NOTE: (March 2002) In my moving to the new location, I checked through the links, and updated anything I could to their new addresses, but anything that appeared to be dead I gave up on and deleted. So this list will be a bit shorter than it used to be, sorry about that...

NetRaptor's Domain
I'm not just including this page here because she very nicely scanned my first Sonic art pics and uploaded my first midi files, it is indeed a good site. It's funny, informative, has great graphics, a theme that changes every now and then, a nice music archive, fan art, profiles, and best of all, the "warped but clean humour" page. Not to mention the What If? fanfics. Check it out! It may not be one of those HUGE Sonic pages that seems to be run by a corporation, but for a small fan-run page, it is DEFINITELY a cut above. (Much better than MY pathetic page!)

Sonic Headquarters
This has got to be THE site for the Sonic fan. It doesn't have the more esoteric treasures of the Sonic Oasis, but it has got to be THE best starting point for the newbie. Want to know the basics of every single game, including those for systems that no longer exist? How about codes and cheats? Want to read about every single Sonic cartoon? Want to download TONS of Sonic music files? How about some message-board action or chat with other Sonic fans? Maybe a question-and-answer session would fit your bill, some editorials, or a good fanfic? Whatever your tastes, the Sonic HQ has it all. Many other Sonic sites try to cover all the same bases as the HQ, but the HQ just does it all with so much more STYLE. Definitely one of the very best Sonic sites out there. THIS is what "official" company sites SHOULD be but never are.

The Sonic Foundation
This one is just about even with the HQ. In fact, if I hadn't seen the HQ first I probably would have picked this one as my favourite. This site is also HUGE, with wonderful news, comic book, art, and scanned pictures archives, among other things, such as an interesting quote that changes every week. A dynamic, fast-changing site that you'd have to practically BE as speedy as Sonic himself to keep up with!

J-Walker's Sonic Page
This one isn't as big as the two "corporate" ones listed above, but it's still got a nice variety of stuff. My favourite feature is the character profiles, which include at least a little bit of information on practically EVERYONE in the Sonic universe, including some very obscure characters! If you want to know about Sonic characters, go here. And a lot of other stuff, too, including a pretty cool message board.

Video Game Arcana
This site is currently...."sort-of dead"? They say they'll put up the new link once they have one, so I won't remove this link from here just yet.
Not necessarily a Sonic-only site, the Video Game Arcana is a page of video-game inspired fanfiction, fan art, and other things, including humour and a message board. Quite a cool site. It's a bit off the wall, intellectual, and eccentric--just the way I like my internet. However, it's got a DEFINITE Sonic bent. Many of the site's administrators/main characters are "Furries" of the Mobian kind, and the fanfiction archive has WAY more Sonic stories than stories based off of all the other video games COMBINED! If you're a video-game fan who likes to think, imagine, and wonder about the universes your favourite video-game characters inhabit, you should definitely come here.

Neo Green Hill Zone--Currently, "almost dead", watch this link for when they come back.

Sonic the Webhog
A very clever name for a very clever site. This "slightly deranged" Sonic site has a little bit of everything, but not enough to make you sick to your stomach, and all done with a funny, tongue-in-cheek, twisted sense of humour. I especially love how every category is hosted by a different character from the games and Saturday morning cartoon. Definitely worth a look if you're sick of websites that take themselves too seriously.

The Sonic Sector
Home to the Freedom Fighter Defense Force (of which I am a proud member, as "Captain Chaotica!!") and more, this is a well-done page. I like the way you can pretend to join up with the Freedom Fighters by signing their profile form. (Even though I'd RATHER join the Chaotix, but hey...) The only problem I have with it is that the background patterns sometimes make the text VERY VERY hard to read. Maybe that's just on my browser, I don't know.

Mobius on Earth
This is a small site, but one thing distinguishes it in my mind--the Mobian Horoscopes. If you ever wanted to know what Mobian Year you were born in, what your animal sign is (like in the Chinese system, only it uses character animals from the games and cartoons instead of the more standard tiger, dragon, ox, rat, etc.) or what your Mobian Birthstone is, just go here. (In case you were wondering, I was born in the Year of the Armadillo and my birthstone is the green Chaos Emerald.)

Raymond Silverfox's Web Site
Oh, MAN, is this site good! First, you get a very creative, interesting, and well-drawn cartoon strip epic to lead you into the page. I mean, that's just the introduction! (It DOES take a while to load, so, if you have already seen it, he also provides a way to skip directly to the main page from the index. The guy thought of everything!) Once there, it is full of great artwork, a comprehensive image gallery, a LOT of information on the comic books, and--best of all, in my opinion, some information, FINALLY, on the FLEETAWAY comics! NOT just the Archie ones! It was SO good to finally be able to learn something about the whole other series that NOBODY EVER TALKS ABOUT! Not to mention he also has pictures from them! And lots of other stuff, too. You should DEFINITELY check this one out.

The Sonic the Hedgehog Info Page
This one has some interesting stuff, such as addresses you can write to to order out-of-print comics, and information on the Sonic BOOKS, not comic books, BOOKS, which frankly I have NEVER been able to find information on before. For that alone, it's worth checking out, but of course it also has more. Take a look if you want to know about Sonic stuff in print.

Dan Drazen's Page
I cannot BELIEVE it took me this long to remember to put this link up! D'OH! Anyway, this is one of the absolute classic super-famous fan-fave Sonic sites of all time. Dan Drazen is probably about THE most famous Sonic fanfic author, and most consider him to be the best. His site is full of well-written opinions, fanfic, reviews, humour, and more. One of the sites that you're not a TRUE Sonic fan unless you've checked it out at least once.

The "New" Sonic Zoom
A great Sonic site full of Sonic Secrets, hilarious hoaxes, and all kinds of rare pictures you'd be hard pressed to find somewhere else. Graphics-heavy, (like MY site isn't?) but worth the time.

Ken Penders' Official Website
Ken Penders is the writing-and-sometimes-drawing genius mostly behind the Knuckles the Echidna comics--which are among the most insanely COMPLEX comic books I have EVER read--wellll, before I read any actual manga. ;) (I made the mistake of jumping in feet-first on #s 18 and 19...and BOY was that confusing...) These are not cute little fluffy stories about cute little furry people (although most of them ARE cute) these are serious, complicated, and often downright dark. Anyway, Ken's the main man behind Knux, Julie-Su, Constable Remington, Archimedes, Locke, Lara-Le, Enerjak, and LOTS more, so if you like the Knuckles comic books (and others), or even if you're just curious, take a look at this page.

Espio's Site
Homepage of Espio a.k.a. John Weeks, one of the most well-known Sonic midi composers, this tidy little site may not be very flashy, but it's interesting and useful. The BEST feature, in my opinion, is his wishlist suggestion box, in which you can ask him to make midi files of songs that you can't find anywhere else. (Hint: Ask him to make lots of Sonic Adventure midis! Just kidding, I'm ALREADY doing that. Hee hee.) At any rate, give this creative guy's site a visit now!

The Sonic Info Center--Currently "almost dead".
Run by several different people, this site, despite the fact that it is very plainly formatted with practically no bells and whistles, is a pretty useful and opinionated guide to the Archie Sonic and Knuckles comic book universes. It is under construction so it isn't very big yet...but then again, what website ISN'T under construction?!

BuG's Page O' Stuff
This is an interesting page that covers numerous topics. Not just Sonic, but also Quake, Descent, and more. (I only reviewed the Sonic part 'cos I don't KNOW those other games, so how would I be able to tell if it was a good site about them or not, eh?) It's got cute artwork, a download game coming (which will have my character, Electra, in it, heh heh heh) a profiles page, codes, and some other nifty stuff. Put away that can of Raid and come take a look!

"Sonic Island" (Koryan's Page)
Best known as one of the highest-quality and most talented Sonic midi composers there is (in my opinion) Koryan's page is interesting and worth a look, even if it is mostly in Japanese. But he has an English-language version now, too, so go take a look!

The Sonic Zone.
Another excellent site, this one is well-put-together, polished, intelligent, and if nothing else, deserves special recognition for the fact that it focuses so much attention on the new cartoon, "Sonic Underground". Also included are some nifty hard-to-find Sonic Adventure screenshots, tons of MP3's, tips on how to raise Chao, and much, much more. I can't believe I didn't find this site earlier and put it on the front links page! Oh, well...

Mufasa's Amy Rose Page
SPEAKING of sticking up for the underdogs--or in this case, under-hedgehogs--this is a very nice little page dedicated almost entirely to Her Pinkness, Amy Rose. He's got some great Sonic Adventure screenshots that I haven't seen before, and the Fleetaway stuff--my GOD, this page is worth it for those scans alone! I don't quite agree with the way he portrays the main Sonic universe characters in his fanfics, but you might think otherwise--all in all, a very worthy site.
