'Fiza' will expose the real Hrithik
Hrithik Roshan's D-day is drawing near. 'Fiza', his first film after the super hit, 'Kaho Na Pyaar Hai', is slated to be released in September all over India.
Hrithik has been very modestly saying that he doesn't deserve the adulation, his fans are showering upon him. Well, how much of it is modesty and how much is reality, will be proved when he faces audience without the umbrella of his father over him.
What makes the whole issue more interesting is the fact, that the film is directed by a journalist turn director, Khalid Mohammed. With 'Fiza' Kahlid would be looking out to make his mark as a director, and Hrithik would be looking to reassure himself that he isindeed a good actor and deserves the accolades.
Hrithik is pitted against doyen of acting, Jaya Bachchan and the heroine no. 1, Karishma Kapoor. Hrithik's acting prowess would again be put to test here. Papa Roshan was praising his son's confidence to the roofs. Well, 'Fiza' will clear the clouds and the doubts whether the confidence is inborn or not.
If 'Kaho naa...' was the launching pad for Hrithik, 'Fiza' would be a testing ground. Here Hrithik doesn't have the security, and the comforts of home production. 'Fiza' will expose the real Hrithik.
Hrithik is said to be booked till the year 2003. Well, the success or failure of 'Fiza', will decide whether the gamble of signing Hrithik blindly pays off or not.
All Eyes On Hrithik, The Roshan Of Fiza
It's his first release after the blockbuster Kaho Na... Pyaar Hai. So everybody is now awaiting Hrithik Roshan's first release after his impressive debut. And here's the good news. Fiza, the first directorial effort of journalist Khalid Mohamed, has been completed and is scheduled for a September release all over India. The film's cast also includes big names such as Jaya Bachchan and Karisma Kapoor. Guest appearances by Manoj Bajpai and Sushmita Sen are an added attraction. Newcomers Bikram Saluja and Isha Koppikar make their debut in the film, and Neha appears in a pivotal role. While the music is by Anu Malik, a prayer song has been specially composed for Fiza by A R Rahman. The camerawork has been handled by the genius of Santosh Sivan. Fiza's director, Khalid Mohamed, who has also written the story and the screenplay, was inspired to make the film after authoring three screenplays. "The film happened because I was supported in my efforts by Jayaji, Karisma and Hrithik, who reacted spontaneously to the script and extended their whole-hearted cooperation." Adds Khalid, "I also have a delayed Chennai-Mumbai flight to thank. Santosh Sivan's flight to Thiruvanthapuram got delayed.

At the lounge, we got talking and he exhorted me to direct the film myself, promising to be the cinematographer. And so Fiza was born incidentally, and completed in eight months. We started shooting late last year, and now it's over." The film's story concerns a girl's search for her brother who has been missing for many years. Karisma and Hrithik portray the brother and sister. Jaya Bachchan plays their mother. Neha and Bikram Saluja play the love interests, while Asha Sachdev and Johnny Lever appear in light-hearted roles. The supporting cast also includes Dinesh Thakur, Ravi Jhankal, Shivaji Satam, Sanjay Narvekar, Sabita Prabhune, Prithvi Zutshi, Sabir Masani and Anoop Soni.
A.R.Rahman --- Guest Composer
Fiza is releasing worldwide on September 8. Promos are out and the movie is a must watch. A R Rahman has composed a special prayer song in this movie, which has Anu Malik as the main music director.
"FIZA" soon to be a winner
The film is about a Muslim girl from a middle-class family traces her missing brother to Rajasthan. Karishma plays the role of the Muslim girl while Hrithik is her brother and Jaya Bachchan plays their mother. There are also Neha and Bikram Saluja who play Hrithik and Karisma's love interests, respectively. The roles of Sushmita Sen and Manoj Bajpai are under wraps. Shah Rukh was to play a one song appearence in the movie but he was dropped because the movie was already 2 hours and 45 minutes long, so it's clear now that Shah Rukh is not going to be in 'Fiza'. Anu Malik has scored the music for the movie, but AR Rahman does a guest music composer act in `Fiza'. There's so much hype and media publicity around 'Fiza' that it looks like that it will capture everyone's hearts. The songs and trailers released so far are very effective and people are eagerly waiting to see this film to find out what the film has to offer. 'Fiza' is set to be released on September 8 but the promos are already on TV.
Hrithik is playing Karishma's younger brother even though he is 2 years older than her in real life but we are talking about reel life now. In both cases, she is still his senior 'art' wise. 'Fiza' has a similar script as 'Mela' but it's ought to do what 'Mela' couldn't do by making it a hit. Well, Fiza walk on the similar passé script. Karishma-Hrithik get lost in a bombay riot. Karishma spends the rest of her life looking for her younger brother, like in Karan Arjun when Rakhee says "mere karan arjun aenge"! Lolo reiterates the same "mera bhai aiega." Figure out the rest of the film by watching it on the Big Screen because Hrithik is all set to deliver a mind-blowing performance in 'Fiza'. He always tried hard to come up with ace acting. No doubt there, and Karishma has always been liked by the audience too.
Hrithik is trying to hide from his sister Karisma Kapoor
If there's one actress who cannot stop raving about her cameo dance number in one of her forthcoming movies, she is Sushmita Sen. And why should she not feel proud ? For the song will once again bring her back into the limelight. The special dance number in Fiza has been choreographed by Ganesh Hedge on locations similar to the one seen in Gujarat and Rajasthan. The song is an ethnic one and it also features Hrithik Roshan & Karisma Kapoor. The screenplay for that song required Hrithik to hide from his sister Karisma. To accomplish it, Hrithik has covered his face in the song. If the movie is a hit, Hrithik will add one more feather in his cap, Karisma will move one position up to challenge the current numero uno Aishwarya Rai while Neha & Sushmita will once again share the limelight on the big screen.
Hrithik Roshan searches for the perfect Fiza...
The battle is really hotting up, folks. First there was the Adonis Hrithik Roshan, thanks to Kaho Naa Pyaar
Hai. Beat the boy's glamour you said, as you marveled
at his chiseled looks and glistening biceps. Then when Refugee happened, people started raving about the
'actor' in Abhishek Bachchan. So what if the guy doesn't match Hrithik's glamour with his first film,
he's sure a more intense performer, critics and junta alike said. For a while you thought that's how it's going to be — Hrithik of the fab
bod and funky jive would rule as the ultimate screen god, while Abhishek would carve his own kingdom as an actor of mettle. But wait.
There's scope for role reversals yet. Even as Abhishek tries to get into the groove with his loverboy act
in the forthcoming Tera Jadoo Chal Gaya, Hrithik is all set to silence his critics
who don't think highly of him as an actor with his Fiza. For starts, here's the
recipe: Fiza is an offbeat film directed by veteran journalist-turned filmmaker
Khalid Mohammad. In fact, so much hyped is Hrithik about proving a point as an actor with
Fiza that he's gone ahead with Mohammad's decision not to include
one commercial element in the film — that means no fights, no song-n-dance, no
gimmicks. In fact, the only respite in the film will be a highlight dance piece choreographed by Saroj Khan. This is a tandav sequence that is guaranteed to set
the screens aflame. Ask, Hrithik, however, and he'll tell you that he will be happier if he sets the screen on fire with his acting prowess in
Fiza. We're sure counting on that, guys. For, we know - when Hrithik Roshan decides to do something, he normally does it well.
Shah Rukh out of Hrithik's Fiza!!!
Noted film critic and now director of the film ‘Fiza’ has reportedly confirmed that Shah Rukh Khan will not be acting in his film ‘Fiza’. Shah Rukh was to do a song in this multi-starrer which includes names like - Jaya Bachchan, Karisma Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan. Apparently, two stars were to make a guest appearance in the film - Sushmita Sen and Shah Rukh Khan, but as the film was ending up being too long, the director decided to drop Shah Rukh’s part. But with the on going war between Hrithik and Shah Rukh it is but too evident that it is Hrithik’s resistance to Shah Rukh that has made Khalid Mohammed keep Shah Rukh out to avoid any trouble.
Hrithik has finished his 4-minute tandav!!!
The lad is all set to make an impact. Again. Seems Hrithik Roshan has given an
incredible example of his dancing prowess in Khalid Mohammed's Fiza. After
strenuous rehearsals, he has performed a four minute tandav dance under a waterfall. The result, say those who have seen it, is out of this world and is
expected to be a high point of the film. We're sure all those Hrithik-maniacs will
be thrilled to know that their heart-throb has doffed his shirt for this particular
sequence.
A glimpse of Fiza...
Khalid Mohammed's Fiza -- touted by the trade as a 'class' film -- is all set to take a flying start once it is released on
September 8. This was proved beyond doubt at the special screening of three songs and a music piece from the film at Hotel Sun 'n'
Sand on July 18. The romantic Mahiya -- beautifully pasteurized on Hrithik Roshan and
Neha -- is sure to be a hit. Sushmita Sen looks bewitching in Mujhe mast mahaul
mein; she is both sexy and stylish and it's difficult to say what is better -- the song, its picturisation or Sushmita's dance! Karisma Kapoor dances with
effortless ease on Ghunghroo toot gaye. The dance steps are quite difficult, but Karisma's agility is breathtaking. And the music
piece? Hrithik's acrobatics and dance on the four minute music piece is absolutely
mind-blowing. It is sure to have his fans in raptures. With this kind of music (Anu Malik; one song has been composed by A R Rahman) and song
picturisation (choreographers: Farah Khan, Saroj Khan; cameraman: Santosh
Sivan), Khalid's directorial debut cannot help but take a great start.
