1. The 1st Filipino American Basketball Association of Metropolitan DC Inc. OPEN League is ongoing at South County High School at Lorton, VA. 

2. The 9th Filipino American Basketball Association of Metropolitan DC Inc. 2006 Youth Spring League Registration  started on the 6th of February 2006 and will run through the 13th of March 2006. Any registration received after the 13th of March 2006, a $10 late fee will be imposed.

The Filipino American Basketball Association of Metropolitan DC Inc. 9th Youth Spring League will be named "MIGRANT CENTENNIAL HERITAGE INVITATIONAL BASKETBALL LEAGUE" in honor of 100 years of Filipino Migration in the United States of America. The league will start tentatively on the 2nd of April 2006.

It will be at South County High School at Lorton, VA. every Saturday from 4pm to 8pm. All Tykes Division games will be at Gunston Elementary School at Lorton, Va.

Tykes Division: 8 years old and under

Peewee Division: 9 years old to 12 years old

Bantam/Midget Division: 13 years old to 16 years old

Juvenile/Junior Division: 21 years old and under

3. Filipino American Basketball Association of Metropolitan DC is looking for sponsors to support our area teams to compete on the 2nd Filipino Basketball Association Tournament at Toronto, Canada during Labor Day weekend on the 2nd and 3rd of September 2006. 

Anyone interested of sponsoring a team, $450 for the registration fee plus $350 for the complete set of uniforms for the whole team you prefer to sponsor. You can contact us directly through e-mail treefrie@msn.com or call (703) 963-0439 if you wish to sponsor a team. Filipino American Basketball Association of Metropolitan DC, Inc. will use your company name on the uniform.

4. Filipino American Basketball Association of Metropolitan DC is pleased to announce that it will host the 3rd Filipino Basketball Association Tournament in our area on 2007 during Labor Day weekend. 

This historic event marks the first time that Filipino American Basketball Association of Metropolitan DC Inc. community is hosting a major sporting event. As well, this is the first time that the Filipino Basketball Association Tournament is held in Eastern United States. 

Filipino American Basketball Association of Metropolitan DC will be abuzz with players, coaches, their families and friends, the majority of whom are first time visitors in our area, who will be coming from Eastern and Western Canada cities of Toronto, Missisauga, Montreal, Vaughn, Windsor and Winnipeg.  And from the United States cities of Chicago, Glendale Heights, New Jersey, Westchester and Houston.
