The Filipino American Basketball Association of Metropolitan DC Inc. 9th Youth Spring League will be named "MIGRANT CENTENNIAL HERITAGE INVITATIONAL BASKETBALL LEAGUE" in honor of 100 years of Filipino Migration in the United States of America. The league will start tentatively on the 1st of April 2006. It will be at South County High School at Lorton, VA. every Saturday from 4pm to 8pm. All Tykes Division games will be at Gunston Elementary School at Lorton, Va. There will be a parade of all teams with MUSES. 2. Filipino American Basketball Association of Metropolitan DC is looking for sponsors to support our area teams to compete on the 2nd Filipino Basketball Association Tournament at Toronto, Canada during Labor Day weekend on the 2nd and 3rd of September 2006. 3. Filipino American Basketball Association of Metropolitan DC, Inc. team up with Fil/Am Tennis Organization of Northern Virginia in promoting Filipino-American youth activities. Nikolas Dichoso of Mansanas and Aldrin Magalong of Buko were both named the Most Outstanding Player of the Tournament. Pinya bounced back after a heart breaking lose in the 1st game of the best of three against Ubas to force game 3. Final score: Pinya 20 Ubas 12.
