Here it is...the "first draft" of my top ten of 2002. Later on, I will include other favorites (Best Teams, Best Performances, Best Scores, etc) from the year, but for now, just the top 10 + runners-up...oh, and there are still several films I am going to watch soon which may change this list: Secretary, About Schmidt, Punch-Drunk Love, 8 Mile, Bowling for Columbine, Rabbit-Proof Fence, The 25th Hour, The Quiet American, Narc, and Frida. Others like City of God and Better Luck Tomorrow I haven't seen yet but will not be included in the 2002 list but rather the 2003 if they do end up in my final 10 of the year. This year's crop of movies have all been solid efforts...as we've been bombarded with a whole ton of above average flicks...and there were also a handful of amazing flicks too...all in all, a pretty good year.
