Hey!

A big, fat, hairy and obnoxious WELCOME from the youth guy at First Baptist Church in
Elizabethton, Tennessee. Just another youth group at yet another Baptist church in the south?
I DON'T THINK SO! My name is Dan and I'm the youth guy here. Wanna know what ticks me? When
people say "the youth are the future of our church." WRONG!! (buzzer) U lose! Get your
conciliation-prize-winnin' self out of my space. The youth are not the future...they are the
NOW! You want to see an in-your-face love for Christ and a commitment that runs deep? U found
it! The youth at FBC love the Lord more than themselves. Any great movement of the church
starts with the young. Studies show that 89% of all Christians make decisions before the age
of 19. You do the math!

So, what do we do here at FBC? We reach out to non-Christians, we have fun, we learn about our
Lord, we pray for each other and others, we serve our community but, most importantly, we try to
share the gospel of our savior. So come on in, pull up a chair and get to know a great bunch of

Our student ministry will Reach non-believing students, Connect them to other Christians, help
them Mature in their faith, challenge them to learn to Serve others in love and Honor God with
their lives.
