Between the gap of evil and good, or the gap between the headquarters to these two forces, lay a forest where those having not a care or no affiliation once dwelled. The Forest of Neutral, the leader of it being Omega Ninja. He welcomed all in, many such as alphaomega and E Third taking residence there, with an Echidna having built a tree house atop the tallest log. A tri-battle between the leader, the vampriss, and another destroyed part of this, but not much. The real downfall to this beauteous forest was an attempt on conquest, a mobile suit plowing into it and consuming much in flame. This caused it to be deserted, it remaining the residence of many creatures. The Echidna that built the tree house actually had a cave here. It took many months for the wild life to return to the partly charred forest, the Echidna spending much time in wait for the return of his items. Before the destruction, the Echidna kept his Chaos Emeralds within the tree house. But, a man had taken them, and had by no means allowed him to forget such. They had now planned on dueling in the forest to see who will hold them, the place within the forest picked by the past. The man had already arrived on the section of forest that held remains of the destroyed tree house, picking up a few trinkets and having a remembrance, especially of an attack against the grues. He awaits his challenger to come out of his cave, it being quite near where the tree house once stood.

A young woman enters the forest for the first time, amazed by the beauty and peace. Having forsaken her other personalities and lifetimes, she is dressed in a simple dress and her long silver hair flows unbound. Spotting several other people in the forest, she takes a seat on a grassy knoll and sits watching the afternoon sunlight dapple the forest floor. From her vantage point, she observes, completely silent.

Turning her attention back to the landscape, the silver-haired girl unsheathes an ornate knife from her belt and lightly traces the designs engraved upon it before re-sheathing it. Content to just relax for a while, she half-closes her eyes and just listens to the forest sounds.

Arrow sighs as he leans against a tree
well, a few years ago, there was a great war on the floating island. The Dark Legion was
slowly taking over the island, looking for the Hidden Palace which concealed the 7 Chaos
Emeralds and the Master Emerald. Being one of the last remaining guardians, it was my
duty to protect the emeralds, even if i died trying. Every day, the Legion was becoming
one step closer to the whereabouts of the emeralds, so i decided to try to move the
emeralds to another location...preferably earth. unfortunately the emeralds were power
source which kept the island afloat. After taking the emeralds, the island crashed into the ocean, never to be seen again.
well, about one year ago, in this very spot, a large mobile suit was purposely crashed into this forest, setting it ablaze, and in all of the chaos, the one known as destiny's assassin stole them from right under my nose...some guardian, eh? If im correct, the battle to reclaim...or lose...the emeralds will happen tonight.

He made no motion when the Echidna arrived, him too busy looking at the others who came to enjoy the splendor of a historical landscape. It was later in the eve now, stars already appearing aloft. He takes a step forward and speaks It’s been a long while since I’ve visited here. I had forgotten how beautiful it looked even though scarred. Also the sound of chirrups among the trees. But, enough of that. It’d been a while since I’ve seen you hear, Arrow. Have ye any friends in these woods, or are you alone today? Ha. No offense there. I’ve known you too long to know you wouldn’t be low. He nods his head to the Arrow, then woman beside him Well told story, Arrow. I couldn't have done better myself. That's it, right there. He unties a small brown bag from his waist and holds it up in his palm, knocks of stones coming from it This shall be the victor’s prize, of course. But, I did not steal. I found the Echidna lazing in his guardian duties intolerable, so I took them. Would not you do the same thing? He chuckles at this You sure were irate by that action though. I still find it humorous, in fact. He laughs loud at the conclusion of his sentence. Between laughs, he continues Thus, as he said, this battle will decide who should hold them. He throws the bag into the air and snaps, it disappearing in a dark haze That’s about it. Well, shall we begin this? I’m sure you’re eager.

He chuckles Yeah, I remember that. We all had to flee from them because no one had a large enough light source to make them flee. You were the hero there, if I remember right. Nods to the flame That gave us time to return to the tree house. And, aye, you're right. We should have some protection against them, considering their power.

The small echidna begins bundling branches together, then placing the final product in the outline of a large square, covering a radius of about 50 feet.
"There, that looks large enough..."
He then walks around the edge of the area, lighting each makeshift torch one at a time. After a minute or two, he returns to spot where the assassin is standing.
"So, when will we begin?"

He looks at the flames surrounding the area, then chuckles Very inventive. Well, I say we begin soon. But, not now. You need some rest, don't you, after gliding here? So Walks over and takes a seat on a rock we'll rest now. You may converse and whatnot. That's what I shall do. But, don't waste energy. You'd want to be fighting at your strength's limit for your most prized possession.

Arrow decides to take Des's advice, so he searches the aear for a place to sit, then gets an idea. He waves his arm over the ground. and a large, glowing green emerald about 2 feet 3 feet across emerges from the ground. He then takes a seat upon it as its soft green light illuminates the small area.
ah...the master emerald...dont leave home withought it...
a few minutes later, a small green echidna, a little shorter than arrow, pops out of the bushes. she is wearing a blue dress that comes to down her knees and has a small backpack hanging from one of her shoulders. she also has the same emerald green eyes as arrow and appears to be about 11 years of age

The arranged torches burn with undulating light, causing the Forest trees to rebound in and out of the consequent highlights and shadows; the entire Forest gently swaying like pacific waters. The light is fickle; illuminating those present in such a way that what remains still seems as if it is in motion. The shadows, no matter how brief their individual existences last, also seem to betray a presence. The Forest of Neutral is in everlasting balance.
A silhouetted figure is revealed in the intermittent shadows, then is annihilated along with the shadow only to reappear in another when it is created. This continues among the edge of trees, the figure apparently a mere observer.

Looked at the bush when the small female echidna came out of it. Chuckles, then lays back again, looking at the Master Emerald Perhaps I shall try to get that too. Ha. His vision soon meets with blackness, two green hands covering his eyes. He chuckles and decides to play along for a little bit Hmm. Who could it be? Strokes his chin Couldn't be her. She has been gone for a long while now. And, she didn't have green hands. Ha! Well, I can only think of one person. That frightening echidna that was at the beach! He laughs out loud at this Am I right?

He still laughs while turning around to face her Ha. Sorry. You mean he didn't tell you? He looks back, up at his opponent Well, isn't he bad family? Not letting you in on this. Well, we are going to have a duel Holds up his palm and snaps his fingers, the bags of gems appearing on it over these. You should know what these are, being with him so long. He throws the bag up and makes it vanish again Anyway, if you want to know more, I can tell you. And, you're welcome to stay around. I'm sure both of us shall have put up a good fight. He returns to his former position of laying down, motioning to a spot on the ground near Silverfeather with his hand You should probably get comfortable now. I think we'll be getting started soon. The flames flicker as a wind blows, the illumination growing slightly and causing a beast to flee from the light And, be careful if you go beyond the flames.

*E third finally reappears in the forest, remembering everything that happened in it so long ago. Also having to share his body with all of his alter egos once again, he feels a certain completeness that he hasn't felt in a while. He suddenly notices that he has appeared just a few feet away from a group of people, and can only stand still as his memory of everything that has happened to him in the forest comes to him. He also takes a closer look at the group, and becomes shocked that he would have the luck to appear at the exact spot that he did.*

Places a hand on his brow and rubs slightly, looking at the place she motioned too Perhaps my memory has gone astray then. Huh. Well then, I'll give you a better background about all of this then. You should of course, even just seeing him so long ago, know what was in the bag. Well, Arrow had a lapse of protection with them, keeping the gems in the tree house He removes his hand from his brow and points to the remains of the building and nearly never checking on them. So, I took them and that brings us here, to make a story shorter. We shall duel to see who should rightly hold the Emeralds. Lays back down But now, we're resting. So, that's why I said you should find a comfortable spot now before it begins. Also, good to see you again. I thought something had happened to you.

saria shrugs, then lays down on the ground, resting her head on a large tree. unable to go to sleep, she pulls an leather bound book out of her back pack and begins reading. thinking to herself, "mmm...it seems just like yesterday that arrow gave this to me". She then pulls out a round blue stone from her bag with a red triangle engraved in it. "ha...and this...the dragons eye that he found in the Garden of Darkness...and i cant forget about learning my first spell". A memory of the dark crystals from Trents house reaplays in her mind. "ha...to think...the paradox was all my fault...me and that stupid treasure. its a good thing E, Trent, Sigma, and Miss. Icefall were able to fix it". The memory is almost over when she slowly falls asleep, the spell book laying across her chest.

Now to a point where he is half-way into the light, just enough not to be eaten by grues, yet hidden enough to not quite be seen completely, at least he guesses so by his own estimates. Hearing some pieces of the conversation, he chuckles slightly.*

Flute music can be heard throughout the sky of the Forest, and has a peaceful, calming affect on all within it. The source of this music is a boy sitting on the branch of a tree close to to the battlefield, and the others. His ice blue hair falls to his shoulders, while his dark green eyes are closed as if visualizing the tune he plays. A dagger with a crystal blade hangs loosely from his belt, the blade twinkling in the light of the fire and of the stars.

The Daeknory, travelling the land for a purpose ordered by his heart, he passes through the forest, entering for the quickness of the route. He remains chary though, danger being within it surely. It being dark made matters improve none, save his vision operating nearly as well in dark as in light. As he continues, he notices a light source and soft melody near the center, it being closer there than to the northeast. He laughs without sound, his voice not being available. He decides to merely walk to investigate this area, for the trees would make it too difficult to hop there. Thus, he looks around and behind him step after step, for a beast that may wish battle. He finally arrives at the the spot without incident, admiring the group, especially the large gem floating above the ground, a creature not seen regularly on his home land. He notices a spot on a log, and being quite interested in what is to occur here, takes a seat, hoping no one will see him. There he sits, listening to the tune and awaiting a motion

*E third moves closer yet to the group, also listening to the music in the air, and suddenly notices that he isn't close enough to the light when he sees a horrific creature, just barely visible in the light, out of the corner of his eye. Panicking, he runs nearer to the group and the flame, and once in a area near to the flame, and fully visible to everybody, he trips on his own feet and falls flat on his face, making a fairly loud sound. Once on his face, only two words come out of his mouth.*
That, hurt...

He grunts and pushes himself up with his elbows, looking over at the man who had crashed to the ground for a moment, then up at his opponent. He pats his hands, stretches his form, then approaches the Master Emerald. Stopping two feet from it, he looks to the figure outlined in the night sky That shall be enough. I'm sure we both are prepared. Thus, let us begin. He crosses his arms upon his chest and waits for the Echidna to come down from his large gem

The master emerald disappears and arrow falls to the ground with a thud. He slowly gets up, wondering where hes at and then remembers what he is doing here.
meanwhile, a few yards over saria gets up and peers at the figure on the ground. she blinks a few times, then a large smile appears on her face.
Saria: E!
back over to where arrow is standing...
arrow stands up, rubbing his rear where he fell.
Arrow: oww...des, i take it that its about time to begin, eh?

Seeing that the fight will begin shortly, the boy stops playing his flute. He then jumps out of the tree, and lands near the other spectstors. He sits with his eyes fixed on the battlefield.

*E third pulls himself off the ground as he hears Saria yell his name. Once off the ground, and onto his own two feet, he shouts a greeting to Saria.*

As to do it without notice, the silhouetted specter gradually begins to distend itself along the ground; a creeping length of darkness slowly moving; stretching out from the umbra of the tenebrousness cast by the surrounding trees, much like the shadow cast from a standing tree as the sun falls. When the shade finally lengthens itself out along the ground, apparantly as much as it is able, it releases itself from the safety of the shadows of the Forest and suddenly darts along the ground with suprising speed; quickly disappearing into the shadow cast by the backside of the log. There the specter apparantly rests, no longer presenting any mark of its presence.

You found a different type of crystal, did you? Looks like it is powerful. But, you know not to judge something by looks, hmm? *E third notices Silverfeather going down the small path, and decides that it would probably be a good idea to make sure that she isn't hurt. Following Silverfeather, he tries not to attract her attention back to him.*
I've gotta make sure she stays safe, I don't think I would be able to sleep for quite a while if anybody got hurt traveling though this forest...
