Near the beginning of the new year, starting in early February 2025, the Topps company began another year-long installment of their exclusive online brand of Garbage Pail Kids cards and product as specialized and limited items, under the tutelage of the Fanatics group. This marks their tenth consecutive year offering a slew of unique online material to the masses, in between their larger retail releases, that tends to cater to a much smaller niche of hardcore collectors. The online and digital releases are overseen by the Topps brand manager (of entertainment ecommerce), Francis Miceli.

On January 29, 2025, the website GPK News shared the Valentine's Day advert, seen below, stating this year's box would contain three packs per box and eight cards per pack, for a total of twenty-four cards per box. On January 31, 2025, Topps sent out a 'Bowman U NOW® Basketball!' blast email around 6pm CT, that included a small 'GPK Valentine's Day' image, seen above, within the 'Coming Soon' section, and on February 03, 2025, around 4:45pm CT, within the 'Coming This Week' section. On February 03, 2025, posted the second Valentine's Day advert, seen further below, showcasing three card images and a mini valentine chase card. On February 04, 2025, Topps sent out a blast email at 12pm CT, titled, '2025 Topps Garbage Pail Kids: Valentine's Day is here!' with the same advert with a 'SHOP NOW' button. At the same time, the product dropped with a trending now button link dispalying the Explorin' NORMAN card image. Topps simply stated, "Love is in the air [emoji] 2025 GPK Valentine's Day has arrived. Available Now," to their Garbage Pail Kids Facebook page.
