PRODUCTION ARTWORK (NA) — BITS & BOBS BACKSTORY — CARD ANNOTATION

The Topps assistant director, Mark Newgarden, from the NPD (New Product Development) department, had concept artist and writer Jay Lynch create the artwork and card-type for the OS11 Garbage Pail kids reverse card backs, where Lynch sketched out and completed the 'PUZZLE PUKE' card artwork images, with assistance by his artist friend, Gary Whitney. For the first and only time, the two completed puzzles contained just sixteen (4x4) card-back puzzle pieces each, which shortened the size of the artwork, rather than the eighteen (3x6) and twenty-one (3x7) completed puzzles from previous releases. Due to this greatly reduced puzzle count, this increased the number to twenty-six comic backs, but only eighteen unique comics with six duplicates (with two 'FLICK IT!' variations), and forty 'FLICK IT!' panels, that were completed for the OS11 set. For the OS11 through OS16 comic backs, artist Jay Lynch was given a lot more aritistic freedom (freedom of artistic expression) and the liberty to create brand-new material.

The NPD department would create the artwork and card type, but the actual Art department was in charge of the overall design and layout, and would produce the composition of the front side and card backs as well as the promotional material and packaging. Composition images were generated to help guide the final card type design and artwork placement. 'THE GARBAGE GANG' logo was adopted during the OS9 set, changes due to the OAA vs. Topps lawsuit, but the OS11 set introduced the 'FLICK IT!' section, created by artist Richard McGuire, that would stick around until the end of the Garbage Pail Kids run, with the shelved OS16 release.

The 'PUZZLE PUKE' backs are often pretty straightforward, usually a simple puzzle that's a game or problem designed to test one's knowledge, but they are oftentimes more 'puzzling' than anything else; something that's difficult to understand or explain, causing confusion due to lack of understanding or making sense of it. However, this makes sense considering it's coming from an underground comix master like Jay Lynch, whom often takes a satirical approach to his work.

"I wrote and did finished art and color roughs on these puzzles [for the 11th Series]. Gary Whitney assisted. Flick it [section] is by someone else.
" JAY Lynch, circa March 2003.

Card No. 418 — Artwork & Card Type by JAY LYNCH — Assisted by GARY WHITNEY
Featuring OS11 GPK Final Artwork by JOHN POUND + 'FLICK IT!' Artwork by RICHARD MCGUIRE
NOTE: 'FLICK IT!' PANELS #1 & #2, FOR CARDS 418a & 418b, RESPECTIVELY

The comic back for OS11 reverse card 418a LUCY Lock-It and 418b Shut Up SHIRLEY, by artist JOHN Pound, FEATURES the same OS11 character artwork from its own card front; plus 'FLICK IT!' panels #1 and #2, respectively. Rather then brand-new rendered artwork, the actual final artwork has been inserted; the first release to use its own frontside character for the reverse card back. This expert artwork only emphasizes the joke behind 'HOW TO DRAW A G.P.K!', that one can go from 'art appreciation' to 'GPK artist' in just nine easy steps. The chances of creating Pound-quality artwork might be slim, and the skull & crossbones within step no. 9 would highly suggest a 'starving artist' outcome or scenario, at best.

This first 'PUZZLE PUKE' is more of a comic than a puzzle, unless you're attempting to solve one of life's riddles. Finding a career, and not just a job. Step no.1 mentions and portrays a deluxe or 'de luxe' (elegant, luxurious) and expensive fountain pen, where a good-quality pen usually costs between $20 to $200 bucks, but could easily cost upwards of $1,000. Step no.3 instructs the artiste to use a 'guest towel' (in a guest bathroom?), that may be more high-quality, like superior egyptian cotton, rather than the lesser quality found in the family bathroom. Step no.4 mentions eating chutney (def'n: a spicy condiment made of fruits or vegetables w/ vinegar, spices, sugar, etcetera, originating in India), a newspaper (hopefully the funny pages), and a dead rodent, which would potentially induce vomiting the contents of one's stomach, in order to study art. Step no.6 suggests a self-inflicted concussion, which might disorient and help create abstract artwork, but don't go to sleep!

Card No. 419 — Artwork & Card Type by JAY LYNCH — Assisted by GARY WHITNEY
Featuring OS11 GPK Character Artwork by JOHN POUND + 'FLICK IT!' Artwork by RICHARD MCGUIRE
NOTE: 'FLICK IT!' PANELS #3 & #4, FOR CARDS 419a & 419b, RESPECTIVELY

The comic back for OS11 reverse card 419a MEG-A-Volt and 419b Charged MARGE, by artist JOHN Pound, FEATURES the same OS11 character artwork from its own card front; plus 'FLICK IT!' panels #3 and #4, respectively. The first release to use its own frontside character for the reverse card back. The rendered artwork by JAY Lynch places the character in the same shocking situation, but the character is now in a 'different' room and wearing a hair bow.

SPOILER! Solving the puzzle... "WHAT DID CHARGED MARGE'S DAD SAY WHEN HE SAW HER PLUG HER UMBILICAL CORD INTO THE WALL?"... gi(rl) + m(oon) + mea(t) + (f)l(y) + (r)ight! = GIMME A LIGHT! Charged MARGE's father needed some assistance with lighting his cigar; proud parenting skills at its best.

Card No. 420 — Artwork & Card Type by JAY LYNCH — Assisted by GARY WHITNEY
Featuring OS6 GPK Character Artwork by TOM BUNK + 'FLICK IT!' Artwork by RICHARD MCGUIRE
NOTE: 'FLICK IT!' PANELS #15 & #16, FOR CARDS 420a & 420b, RESPECTIVELY

The comic back for OS11 reverse card 420a Spanked HANK and 420b Spikey SONDRA, by artist JAMES Warhola, FEATURES OS6 character artwork for cards 215a Gnawing NORA and 215b Nervous NELLIE, originally created by TOM Bunk; plus 'FLICK IT!' panels #15 and #16, respectively. The rendered artwork by JAY Lynch showcases the character in the same stressful stance & purple dress, with four fingers instead of five.

The 'PUZZLE PUKE' backside showcases pictorial clues for the possible 'state' that Nervous NELLIE is in; no.1 being an adobe jailhouse in Arizona, no.2 being the Statue of Liberty in New York (City), no.3 being an oil extraction (pump &) tower in Texas, no.4 is missing and isn't even displayed on the card back, but Nervous NELLIE is pictured within the state of TX, no.5 being the U.S. Capital Building in Washington, D.C., no.6 being the Moab desert in Utah, no.7 being an igloo & an Eskimo on a dog sled in Alaska, and no.8 being a garbage can, potentially located within any given state. But regardless, because as the card states, NELLIE is in a 'state' of severe shock!!!

Card No. 421 — Artwork & Card Type by JAY LYNCH — Assisted by GARY WHITNEY
Featuring Various GPK Character Artwork by JOHN POUND & TOM BUNK + 'FLICK IT!' Artwork by RICHARD MCGUIRE
NOTE: 'FLICK IT!' PANELS #13 & #14, FOR CARDS 421a & 421b, RESPECTIVELY

The comic back for OS11 reverse card 421a Groovy GREG and 421b Combin' HARRY, by artist JOHN Pound, FEATURES OS1, OS2 & OS7 character artwork for cards 3a Up CHUCK & 3b Heavin' STEVEN, 8a ADAM Bomb & 8b Blasted BILLY, 29a Bony JOANIE & 29b Thin LYNN, and 46a Rappin' RON & 46b RAY Gun, originally created by JOHN Pound, and 278a Have A Nice DAVE & 278b MILES Smiles, by TOM Bunk; plus 'FLICK IT!' panels #13 and #14, respectively. The rendered artwork by JAY Lynch showcases the characters with an added atomic mushroom cloud.

The 'PUZZLE PUKE' is obviously more about 'street smarts' (which involves practical knowledge gained through life experiences), rather than 'book smarts' (which involves a formal education and academic knowledge). If life were a 'matching game', everyone would be attending Yale University (located in Connecticut). The other "look-alike" twins, would be categorized as fraternal twins, for numbers 2, 4, 5, & 6, as opposed to identical twins, if even considered actual twins. The rendered 8a & 8b artwork by JAY Lynch is very reminscent of the rendered OS1-OS5 wrapper artwork by TOM Bunk. These additional characters basically have the atomic mushroom cloud placed over their heads (or out of their mouth & baby bottle), but it's interesting to note that the original concept artwork for 8a & 8b contained the former President Ronald Reagan, so it's fitting to see the character finally get his 'boom'. Additionally, the original concept artwork for 46a & 46b had the character holding guns, also hinted at by the card nomenclature.

Card No. 422 — Artwork & Card Type by JAY LYNCH — Assisted by GARY WHITNEY
Featuring no Previous GPK Character Artwork + 'FLICK IT!' Artwork by RICHARD MCGUIRE
NOTE: 'FLICK IT!' PANELS #11 & #12, FOR CARDS 422a & 422b, RESPECTIVELY

The comic back for OS11 reverse card 422a SHERI Cola and 422b All Night DINAH, by artist JOHN Pound, FEATURING no previous GPK character artwork, but instead all-new artwork by JAY Lynch; plus 'FLICK IT!' panels #15 and #16, respectively. On close inspection, the artwork showcases several hints at a non-U.S. classroom.

The 'PUZZLE PUKE' backside is technically more of a search-and-find game, but showcases some great artwork by JAY Lynch. The artwork portrays quite a few hints of a Russian classroom... two images of an Ushanka fur hat in the first and second rows, with the latter hat's earflaps being tied up. The pull-down chart in the background demonstrates a community with poor rations and an unbalanced diet along with the uncombined Communist symbol, the hammer (representing workers) and sickle (representing peasants). Lastly, the window's snowy atmosphere shows several buildings with Russian architecture, similar to Saint Basil's Cathedral in the Red Square, Moscow & Kremlin.

Card No. 423 + 452 — Artwork & Card Type by JAY LYNCH — Assisted by GARY WHITNEY
Featuring no Previous GPK Character Artwork + 'FLICK IT!' Artwork by RICHARD MCGUIRE
NOTE: 'FLICK IT!' PANELS #37 & #38, FOR CARDS 423a & 423b + 452a & 452b, RESPECTIVELY

The duplicate comic back for OS11 reverse cards 423a Hungry IVAN & 423b SY Sty, by artist JOHN Pound, and card 452a Impaled GAIL & 452b Magic WANDA, by artist JAMES Warhola, FEATURE no previous GPK character artwork, but instead all-new artwork by JAY Lynch; plus 'FLICK IT!' panels #37 and #38, respectively. On close inspection, the entertaining artwork is absolutely identical and nothing has changed.

The 'PUZZLE PUKE' backside is technically more of a comparison game, but showcases some great line work by JAY Lynch. The key to the puzzle is the interpretation of the question, "What's the difference?" and the popular idiom, "What's the difference?!" One is used to ask about the distinction (or literal difference) between two objects, and the other to express indifference or disinterest... but in modern times, it's often used as a rhetorical question, meaning there is no real distinction between two things. A trick question that's nuanced.

Card No. 424 + 443 + 455 — Artwork & Card Type by JAY LYNCH — Assisted by GARY WHITNEY
Featuring OS2 GPK Character Artwork by JOHN POUND + 'FLICK IT!' Artwork by RICHARD MCGUIRE
NOTE: 'FLICK IT!' PANELS #39 & #40 (x2), PLUS #29 & #30, FOR CARDS 424a & 424b + 455a & 455b, PLUS 443a & 443b, RESPECTIVELY

The triplicate comic back for OS11 reverse cards 424a Rainy STORM & 424b Lightning LINDA, by artist TOM Bunk, 455a Charred COLE & 455b Deviled EGBERT, and 443a Wet WHIT & 443b Wee-Wee WILLIE, by artist JAMES Warhola, all FEATURES OS2 character artwork for cards 77a Ghastly ASHLEY and 77b Acne AMY, originally created by JOHN Pound; plus 'FLICK IT!' panels #39 & #40 (x2) + #29 & #30, respectively. The rendered artwork by JAY Lynch showcases the character with the same facial blemishes, but with a closed mouth to better display the puzzle, and a bit of booger.

The 'PUZZLE PUKE' backside shows a connect-the-dot puzzle, titled 'CONNECT THE ZITS'. The twenty-step puzzle shows a revolver/gun/pistol and the object that Acne AMY used in order to 'eliminate' her blemish problem 'forever'. One doesn't have to worry about acne forever if their life is eliminated and over. A time when both guns could be portrayed in artwork and the topic of suicide wasn't frowned upon.

Card No. 425 — Artwork & Card Type by JAY LYNCH — Assisted by GARY WHITNEY
Featuring OS5 GPK Character Artwork by JOHN POUND + 'FLICK IT!' Artwork by RICHARD MCGUIRE
NOTE: 'FLICK IT!' PANELS #31 & #32, FOR CARDS 425a & 425b, RESPECTIVELY

The comic back for OS11 reverse cards 425a DENNY Saur & 425b RIP Tile, by artist JAMES Warhola, FEATURES OS5 character artwork for cards 170a RICHIE Retch and 170b LUKE Puke, originally created by JOHN Pound; plus 'FLICK IT!' panels #31 & #32, respectively. The rendered artwork by JAY Lynch showcases the character without his green face, but his vomit is now in more of a projectile-like di-'splay'.

The 'PUZZLE PUKE' backside shows several similar objects within the pile of barf, including: eyeball, apple core, tin can, bottle, a bone, and fish bones. There's a plethora of different objects compared to the items showcased within the OS5 card image, including: a hair comb, eggshells, tissue, and scissors (card image) & tape dispenser, a pack of cigs, paperclip, clothesline pin, smoking pipe, banana peel, a pair of underwear, toothbrush, shaving blade, mouse, plunger, handsaw, mug, fork, drinking can, magnet, brain, a pair of false teeth, etcetera (rendered image).

Card No. 427 + 434 — Artwork & Card Type by JAY LYNCH — Assisted by GARY WHITNEY
Featuring OS6 GPK Character Artwork by JAMES WARHOLA + 'FLICK IT!' Artwork by RICHARD MCGUIRE
NOTE: 'FLICK IT!' PANELS #33 & #34, FOR CARDS 427a & 427b + 434a & 434b, RESPECTIVELY

The duplicate comic back for OS11 reverse cards 427a Ripped FLETCH & 427b Taped TATE and 434a HOLLY Daze & 434b Joyous NOEL, both by artist TOM Bunk, FEATURES OS6 character artwork for cards 248a HECTOR Collector and 248b G.P. KAY, originally created by JAMES Warhola (after JOHN Pound); plus 'FLICK IT!' panels #33 and #34, respectively. The rendered artwork by JAY Lynch shows the collector with a much expanded collection stuck to his person.

The 'PUZZLE PUKE' backside is technically more of a Q&A (questions & answers) than a puzzle, but a great look back at previous GPK releases. As with the original final artwork, created by artist JOHN Pound, JAY Lynch's rendered edition has sticker characters that are unrecognizable (with an added snot drip), unlike JAMES Warhola's final artwork that are discernible. For question no.7, there is a colour error where OS1 cards 12a/b and OS4 cards 140a/b have 'hot pink' GPK headers, instead of red, or perhaps like question no.8, we should call it 'shocking pink'. For question no.9, series 10 also had a blue wrapper, but alas, light blue.

Card No. 432 — Artwork & Card Type by JAY LYNCH — Assisted by GARY WHITNEY
Featuring OS1 GPK Character Artwork by JOHN POUND + 'FLICK IT!' Artwork by RICHARD MCGUIRE
NOTE: 'FLICK IT!' PANELS #7 & #8, FOR CARDS 432a & 432b, RESPECTIVELY

The comic back for OS11 reverse cards 432a Packed MAC and 432b SUE Case, by artist JAMES Warhola, FEATURES OS1 character artwork for cards 19a Corroded CARL and 19b Crater CHRIS, originally created by JOHN Pound; plus 'FLICK IT!' panels #7 & #8, respectively. The rendered artwork by JAY Lynch showcases the character sticking his tongue out, wearing longer suspended shorts, and standing on a stool.

The 'PUZZLE PUKE' backside shows six simple steps of starting with the word 'ZIT' and ending with the word 'PUS', by changing one letter at a time. Step no.1 showing a guy getting punched in the face for the word 'HIT', step no.2 showing an image of a 'HAT', step no.3 showing an image of a 'BAT', step no.4 showing an image of a 'BAG', step no.5 showing an image of a 'BUG', and step no.6 showing an image of a 'BUS'.

Card No. 435 + 456 — Artwork & Card Type by JAY LYNCH — Assisted by GARY WHITNEY
Featuring OS6 GPK Character Artwork by JOHN POUND + 'FLICK IT!' Artwork by RICHARD MCGUIRE
NOTE: 'FLICK IT!' PANELS #35 & #36, FOR CARDS 435a & 435b + 456a & 456b, RESPECTIVELY

The duplicate comic back for OS11 reverse cards 435a London BRIDGET & 435b Toxic WES, by artist TOM Bunk, and 456 Split CORD & 456b WILLIAM Won't Tell, by artist JOHN Pound, FEATURES OS6 character artwork for cards 207a Over FLO and 207b Moist JOYCE, originally created by JOHN Pound; plus 'FLICK IT!' panels #35 & #36, respectively. The rendered artwork by JAY Lynch showcases the character in the same busting-seams predicament with a worrisome face.

The 'PUZZLE PUKE' backside shows six possible pee-able destinations and outcomes; no.1 being a fire hydrant, mainly associated with canines and marking their territories, no.2 being a potted cactus plant, possibly something to try to hide behind for privacy, no.3 being a porcelain toilet (aka the CAN), the main goal, no.4 being a burger & drink, which would only make matters worse, no.5 being a gravesite with tombstone, associated with "pissing on someone's grave", and no.6 being an upturned hat, something that could potentially hold a liguid and to urinate in.

NOTE: 'FLICK IT!' PANELS #21 & #22, FOR CARDS 436a & 436b, RESPECTIVELY

The comic back for OS11 reverse cards 436a Scaldin' ALDEN and 436b Steamy MIMI, by artist JOHN Pound, FEATURES OS5 character artwork for cards 173a Menaced DENNIS and 173b Wormy SHERMY, originally created by JOHN Pound; plus 'FLICK IT!' panels #21 & #22, respectively. The rendered artwork by JAY Lynch showcases the character in different pajamas, no invading worms, night sweats, and having a nightmare.

The 'PUZZLE PUKE' backside answers are taking objects beginning with a 'G', a 'P', and a 'K' to the absolute extreme, which is most likely well beyond the knowledge base that an average GPK collector could draw on whilst still in grade school (or middle school for that matter), using proper nouns & descriptive adjectives, and not the normal, most obvious choices. 'G' answers included 'geometric shape(s)', 'genuine pistol', and 'George Gershwin' (an American composser and pianist), instead of: gun, gas mask, guitar, grave, ghost, and gorilla. 'P' answers included 'periodontist' (dental specialist), 'Pennsylvanian', and 'parallel lines', instead of: pistol, parrot, policeman, pipe, pigeon, pencil, Pilgrim, pine tree, pyramid, piano, pineapple, pizza, pianist, penguin, puddle, pig, pillow, and peeping tom. 'K' answers included 'kat' (purposefully misspelled), 'K.G.B. agent' (Komitet Gosudarstvennoy Bezopasnosti = Russian intelligence), and 'karate victim', instead of: kite, kid, kitten, key, kangaroo, and koala.

Card No. 437 — Artwork & Card Type by JAY LYNCH — Assisted by GARY WHITNEY
Featuring OS5 GPK Character Artwork by JOHN POUND + 'FLICK IT!' Artwork by RICHARD MCGUIRE
NOTE: 'FLICK IT!' PANELS #5 & #6, FOR CARDS 437a & 437b, RESPECTIVELY

The comic back for OS11 reverse cards 437a Sliced BRAD and 437b Dead LEE, by artist JAMES Warhola, FEATURES OS5 character artwork for cards 198a Gore MAY and 198b CONNIE Sewer, originally created by JOHN Pound; plus 'FLICK IT!' panels #5 & #6, respectively. The rendered artwork by JAY Lynch showcases the character with a different food bib, fork (and knife) next to an empty plate, and licking up the remaining snot.

The 'PUZZLE PUKE' backside has four easy steps to find out what Gore MAY had for dinner... step no.1 equals NO(S)E, step no.2 equals FI(N)GER, step no.4 (should be step no.3) equals T(I)SSUE[?], and step no.5 (should be step no.4) equals (T)ONGUE, which spells 'SNIT', but should actually be 'SNOT', naturally. The picture numbers are messed up and step no.4 (aka step no.3) should have been a T(O)ILET or something.

Card No. 442 + 449 — Artwork & Card Type by JAY LYNCH — Assisted by GARY WHITNEY
Featuring no Previous GPK Character Artwork + 'FLICK IT!' Artwork by RICHARD MCGUIRE
NOTE: 'FLICK IT!' PANELS #23 & #24 + #17 & #18, FOR CARDS 442a & 442b + 449a & 449b, RESPECTIVELY

The duplicate comic back for OS11 reverse cards 442a Rugged ROY & 442b Bare BARRY, by artist JAMES Warhola, and card 449a BERT Food & 449b Gutsy GUS, by artist TOM Bunk, FEATURE no previous GPK character artwork, but instead all-new artwork by JAY Lynch; plus 'FLICK IT!' panels #23 & #24 + #17 & #18, respectively. Minus a barfing outbreak, it's not directly apparent what is amiss within the imagery.

The 'PUZZLE PUKE' backside is technically a nonsensical question with a satirical answer, with a plethora of signage in the background, including: 'JUICE', 'NO CHOKING' (instead of 'NO SMOKING'), a 'SMOKING VICTIM' poster, 'REST ROOM' with 'ADAM BOMB 4 PRESIDENT' scrawled on the door, and most importantly, 'CAFETERIA. TUESDAY: IRISH STEW'. The 'Answer' states, "MEATLOAF IS SERVED ON TUESDAYS, NOT IRISH STEW!! YUCK!", and obviously, without the full menu, the onlooker would be unaware of this information, or a menu misprint, nor of its side affects.

Card No. 444 — Artwork & Card Type by JAY LYNCH — Assisted by GARY WHITNEY
Featuring OS2 GPK Character Artwork by JOHN POUND + 'FLICK IT!' Artwork by RICHARD MCGUIRE
NOTE: 'FLICK IT!' PANELS #27 & #28, FOR CARDS 444a & 444b, RESPECTIVELY

The comic back for OS11 reverse cards 444a Fairy Tale DALE and 444b Nose Drip SKIP, by artist JOHN Pound, FEATURES OS2 character artwork for cards 62a Greaser GREG and 62b CHRIS Hiss, originally created by JOHN Pound; plus 'FLICK IT!' panels #27 & #28, respectively. The rendered artwork by JAY Lynch showcases the character in a mirror-image view, with a stick of lit dynamite, and no flames around the skull & cross'bones' t-shirt.

The 'PUZZLE PUKE' backside has five potential pitstops and one final destination. Since the 'Answer' mentions the character dropped out of school two years ago, there really isn't a reason for him to attend classes, let alone gain access, especially since the image portrays more of a grade school-looking building and the character is carrying weapons. It is highly unlikely the character would be heading to the 'WHITE HOUSE' (unless on a field trip), and would attempt to sidestep 'JAIL' (and might be too young to serve), could play hooky in 'TIMES SQUARE', and would be attracted to a 'BAR' or a 'GUN SHOP', but may run into age restrictions. Unless you run through Times Square, and dropped down into the 'SCHOOL' through the flag area, there is no real direct route.

NOTE: 'FLICK IT!' PANELS #19 & #20, FOR CARDS 445a & 445b, RESPECTIVELY

The comic back for OS11 reverse cards 445a COLETTE Coldcut and 445b ELLIE Deli, by artist JOHN Pound, FEATURES character artwork for cards 204a JULES Drools & 204b KIT Spit (OS5), 319A Chopped SUSIE & 319B SHANA Saw (OS8), 5a Dead TED & 5b JAY Decay (OS1), 77a Ghastly ASHLEY & Acne AMY (OS2), plus 265a Curly SHIRLEY & 265b Blown JOAN, all originally created by JOHN Pound, and 212a Upliftin' CLIFTON & 212b Air-Head JED (OS6), originally created by TOM Bunk; plus 'FLICK IT!' panels #19 & #20, respectively. The rendered artwork by JAY Lynch showcases the characters in very similar poses, except for two characters in mirror-image position.

The 'PUZZLE PUKE' backside contains a 'secret message' from your so-called "friends" in Garbage Pail Kids-Land that can be deciphered using their card nomenclature: JULES (Dr)ools + Ch(op)ped SUSIE + JAY (De)cay + Air-He(ad) JED + Ac(n)e AMY + Bl(ow)n JOAN that reads 'DROP DEAD NOW'. Perhaps this occurs once you Connect-the-Zits for the 'PUZZLE PUKE' cards with Acne AMY and locate the gun. Like CLUE, killed in GPK-Land with the revolver.

Card No. 446 — Artwork & Card Type by JAY LYNCH — Assisted by GARY WHITNEY

NOTE: 'FLICK IT!' PANELS #9 & #10, FOR CARDS 446a & 446b, RESPECTIVELY

The comic back for OS11 reverse cards 446a Mean MARLENE and 446b Punk ROCKY, by artist TOM Bunk, FEATURES OS1 character artwork for cards 27a Brainy JANIE and 27b JENNY Genius, originally created by JOHN Pound; plus 'FLICK IT!' panels #9 & #10, respectively. The rendered artwork by JAY Lynch showcases the character in an upright position, standing, with one shoe, holding an umbrella, and wearing a red hair bow.

The 'PUZZLE PUKE' backside is a 'MEMORY' game and showcases a store window. Presenting the card back to the store first could thwart your store freebies... the game is basically promoting the illegal act of stealing; hopefully the character is young enough to avoid any correctional center or serving time. The items Brainy JANIE memorized from left-to-right, top-to-bottom, are: a skull with cap, bugs, sawed off leg, mouse, jar of eyeballs, melting ice-cream cone, cat, tack, bone, a shrunken head, cigarette butt, empty can, playing card, hung teddy bear with arrow in head, fish bones, her other shoe, pencil stub, hatchet, and a plate of spaghetti. The store front does have a cityscape in the background, and may be in a rougher area of town, having a broken window, and a band-aid & bullet hole on the back window.

The comic back for OS11 reverse cards 454a Lynched LYNDON and 454b BRUCE Noose, by artist TOM Bunk, FEATURES OS3 character artwork for cards 106a Fowl RAOUL and 106b MACK Quack, originally created by JOHN Pound; plus 'FLICK IT!' panels #25 & #26, respectively. The rendered artwork by JAY Lynch showcases the character still screaming and cursing, but the swear words are floating above his head with the puzzle in front of his extra angry face.

The 'PUZZLE PUKE' backside is a simple word search, titled, 'GROSS-WORD PUZZLE', but not a 'crossword' puzzle, unless you mean crossed words... "Fowl RAOUL doesn't give a DUCK (F-U-C-K) about what he says!" Various words that can be deciphered are, from L—R: stuck, garbage, vomit, puke, poo, blood, pus, pigs, fur, zit, eel, home/work, rat, sewer, armpit, and underwear = sixteen 'gross' words; from T—B: barf, burp, toilet, snot, crud, booger, bazooka, mutant, eve, gross, ego, goo, atlanta = thirteen 'gross' words; and, diagonally: warts. Roughly thirty words can be located, but there could be more!
