Gary Burghoff directed and starred in Tribute at the Gretna Theatre from July 17-28, 2001. The cast also included Gary Mazzu, Gena Gale Burghoff, Cass Jendzurski, Denise Taylor, Mark Wolff, and Vanessa Webb. Written by Bernard Slade, the play is about a tribute party in honor of Scottie Templeton, a Broadway press agent, thrown by his friends and family. When he learned he was dying, Scottie's main concern was reconciling with his son.
