The tentacular cells should be handle with extra attention in every time. Their tentacles will become crazy while get shot. So this is important to keep a distant from them. 3 level of Speed Up will be have advantages in this manner. In my style, in concerning the final stage, I used 2 level of Speed Up all the way to the end. This is optional. The tentacular cell section is one of the famous crash locations in GRADIUS IV. If you did, in revival play, hold your fire and take your chance to escape from these crazy enemies. It will surely help if you remember the order of appearance of these cells. Normally, their order of appearance is as follows. Notice that their number will be decreased (more easy to play) if you have crashed a plane not far away before (or within) this stage.

At the beginning, one will appear from the bottom. Shoot it first !
Next, two will appear from the upper position. Then two from the bottom.
Next, one will appear from the lower right corner which is followed immediately by another from the upper right corner. Shoot down these two quickly. After that, there will be two appear almost in the same time. Caution !
Next, there will be one appear from the upper left corner followed by two from the lower right position. Sometimes, it will be more safe in escaping from them, it depends on different situations. Next, you're about to meet the Belial, the strongest boss in late stages... . But before that, prepare the appearance of Option Hunter.

Once you passed through the cell wall, Option Hunter will appear in seconds. In this case, escape from it. You will prefer to use 4 Options to fight against the boos of this stage. By doing this, locate Vic Viper at the upper-right corner then escape to the bottom. It's free to do.
