Geek
n : a person with an unusual or odd personality [syn: eccentric, eccentric person, oddball] --Dictionary.Com
The above is merely one definition of Geek. We here at Geek World like to use the definition "Someone who has a great passion about something some would deem unworthy of such attention."
We are all Geeks in our own way.
-_-_-_-_-
"What the hell is Geek World?!"
You may be asking yourself that question right now. Well, Geek World is your one-stop center for all things geek!
Are you a gamer? So are we!
Are you a comic book reader? So are we!
Are you a fantasy buff? So are we!
See a trend? So do we! (Sorry about that last one..)
Essentially this website came about out of our continued frustration with the lack of "all-around geek" websites on the net. Sure, there are plenty of websites geared towards comic fans, gamers, etc. But there was never any One Place for fans of all things geek could converge.
Well not anymore...
Think of this site as your online geek haven, my friend.
Flip open that copy of Lord of the Rings, put down the Boba Fett action figure (it's the one with the dot on the hand, man! THE DOT!) and take a swig off that X-Men sipper-straw. Kick back and enjoy the Geek World! Why? Because it's Your world!
Hey all, Rob K here. Thanks for visitin' the site!
At the moment we're under heavy construction, trying to get the best geekdom to you! So hang in there and keep checkin' back! I'd like to point out that most of the sections are up and running, we're just experiencing a momentary lack of content until we get the site fully up. So please click around, explore!
If you want to an e-mail notice when the site is updated, by all means drop us a line! Make "Site Update" the subject line. |
ALSO: We are currently looking for someone to be our website graphics designer. This person will be required to create banners and other graphics to meet our requests at any given time. At this time, we have no banners and we'd like to change that! So if you're interested, drop us a line and be sure to make "Site Graphics Designer" the subject line! |
Thanks again!
Rob K.
Don't blame me if you can't see the scrolling marquee above. Use IE more often.
