Here's a list of some of my favorite movies:
Right now, i'm absorbed by the LOTR movies. I read the books years ago and they grabbed me back then so now, i'm super into it! Tolkien, once you can let him past your defences has a way of feeding the imagination in a way that makes you become so much a part of it all. Reading him makes you want to resist all the tiny details he gets into but,,, it makes you feel like some kind of friend or confident that all this information is shared with you. To me it's a real tripp.
O Brother Where Art Thou ranks real high on my list as does Crouching Tiger and Hidden Dragon. I am a serious Li Mu Bi fan. That movie is amazing and profound on many levels! I dig it!!
Music I Like:
I'm a musician so I can't really afford to have a whole bunch of musical dislikes but,,,,I can say music without space or breathing room I don't like. Especially if it's loud but thereis a lot of loud music I do like. I give high marks for originality. I take away marks for using using bells and whistles in place of musical substance. I apply these rules equally to all catagories of music and whoever comes out smelling like a rose, I like. I won't even try to name off my favorite groups. Ninety nine point nine percent of people have never heard of them. Ever hear of Flim and the BBs? Music by musicians for musicians. I do have to give a shout out to Level 42, Keith Jarette, all Miles Davis alumni, Chick, Herbie, Joe, Mike, Wayne, etc, Ricky Skaggs, George Strait, Yellowjackets, Leon Russel, Lauren Hill, Dave Matthews, Genesis, Wyclif Jean and a few others I can say I really enjoy. When i've explained my musical upbringing, this list may make more sence to you.
