Ms. Lucy Cruz

Lucy Cruz started playing the game of racquetball for fun in 1992. In 1994, she took herself to another level and played competitively against other racquetball players in local tournaments. A year later, she has consistently finished in the top 3 standings in the women's division singles category.

Lucy specialty is the doubles event. Her doubles partner is Ms. Alysia Leon Guerrero. Lucy's first major tournament experience was in 1999 in South Korea competing in the "Asian Racquetball Championships" in the singles format.

In 2000, she competed in the "World Racquetball Championships" in San Luis Potosi, Mexico in the women's singles and doubles format.

Lucy Cruz is currently the Vice President of the Guam Racquetball Federation and is a member of the "Rating and Ranking Standing Committee" in the federation.

Lucy Cruz's personal goals are, is to promote the sport of racquetball as a viable and competitive sport for all Guamanians (i.e., the sport does not depend greatly on human genetics - such as height needed in basketball). She would like to recriut and promote interest in the sport among the Guam's youth, especially young girls.

Lucy Cruz is currently employed as a "Community Health Nurse" at the Department Of Public Health and Social Services in Mangilao, Guam.

GRF Wednesday Night Court Challenge

Every Wednesday night, GRF host the GRF Wednesday Night Court Challenge Competition. The Court Challenge is free of charge. Starting times are 5:30p.m. to 9:00p.m. All levels of play are welcome. The objective of the game is to win two matches and retire (your out). The purpose of court challenge is to bring comradery and unity among all racquetball players, improve you skills against other racquetball players and learn tips and techniques.
