The Moon Kingdom was a peaceful place in the past ruled by Queen Serenity and she daughter, Serena (She was also named Serenity), the Earth was about the same was exept it was ruled by a king and his son, Prince Edimyon (Darien). Well, Princess Serena was in love with Prince Edimyon and they thought it would get great to marry and continue the peace the Moon and Earth Kingdoms had for years. But, not everyone was happy about them being in love, a mage by the name of Beryal attacked the Moon Kingdom and leveled it to the ground because she wanted Edimyon to herself and one of the most powerful crystals, the Silver Imperial Crystal. This, in turn, forced Queen Serenity to send her daughters (the Sailor Scouts) into the future to help re-build the Moon Kingdom in the future and with that, Queen Serenity broke the Silver Crystal into 7 smaller crystals so that Beryal didn't get the full crystal. This is was leads up to the orignal Sailor Scouts meeting up together in the future (our time period). Beryal, still angry at the fact that the past Queen sent the Scouts into the future tryed many times to defeat the Scouts but failed. Beryal's love for Darien stayed strong enough that she turned him against Serena and had him try to kill her. He would get healed of her spell and Darien would go back to normal. Also, this fact ties into Beryal's love for Darien, the Generals that worked for Beryal (Jedite, Neflyte, Zoicite and Malichite (also called Kunzite)) were generals of Prince Edimyon in the past. Well, Serena was the only Scout to survive the way to Beryal's layer (The other Scouts were killed along the way by the Doom and Gloom Girls), an with the power to turn into the Moon Princess, she destroyed Beryal and got revenge on what happened in the past.

 The Second major battle for the Moon Kingdom was in the 30th Century, it started about halfway through the 'R' series with the Black Moon Kingdom. Rubeus, Catsy, Avery, Prisma, Birdy, Esmeraude (Emerald), Prince Safire, Prince Diamond, Black Lady (the Evil Rini) and Wiseman is what the Black Moon Family is made up of. Wiseman basicly used Diamond and Safire to get the Moon Kingdom, though by the time Safire knew this, it was too late. Wiseman would send Rubeus back to our presant time with his four sisters (Catsy, Avery, Birdy and Prisma) to destroy the city that would be the base of the future Moon Kingdom, Toyko. Rubeus ould be killed for failing his mission, his sisters would be cured and become Sailor Scouts of their own Astroids (Like the Amazon Trio and Quartet in 'Super S'). Esmeraude would be next in line, she would make statues of her that release atomic blasts, thats what her plan was to destroy the city of Toyko (Crystal Toyko's past version). She would adventually go back to the future to Wiseman and tell him to make her the Queen, Wiseman made her a tiara for her become Queen but, instead it turned her into a dragon. Esmeraude would go to the Crystal Palace to kill the Sailor Scouts but her tiara was struck by Tuxedo Mask wich in result opened up a void and she fell in it and died. Black Lady was made by taking all the good out of Rini and puting evil thoughts in her mind. The reason she was made is so that Wiseman could make her the Queen of the Black Moon. She tried to kill the scouts and fail, she would return to Rini after Sailor Moon heals her with the Silver Crystal by turning into the Neo Queen, the Queen of the future Moon. Safire, he knew that Wiseman was using him and his brother so he took the Black Moon Crystal and was called a traitor and then was killed by Wiseman, he told Diamond what Wiseman was planing as he died. Diamond was the leader of the Black Moon Family, he captures Rini after the Scouts come to the future, also he tries to get Neo Queen Serenity to become his Queen, Serena declined. Diamond was furious after finding out that Wiseman was using him, Diamond would die in Serena's arms. Wiseman would shortly later fight Neo-Queen Serenity and Princess Rini with their Silver Crystals. Wiseman would loose and die this would end the invations of the Moon Kingdom. Peace wouldn't until the end of Sailor Moon though. (The rest of the Sailor Moon Series had threats on the Earth and not the Moon Kingdom like in Sailor Moon and the last half of Sailor Moon R.)
