+chapter.eleven+

John and Carol entered the hospital room, expecting Noelle to be asleep. They brought a teddy bear they bought in the gift shop. The two went up to Noelle's room to see Isaac sitting in the room with Noelle talking.

The two looked so sweet sitting together, talking. They looked different though. Almost closer. "Do they look different to you?" Carol asked thoughtfully.

"Yea, closer, right?" John replied.

"Exactly," Carol stated.

"Oh well, let's go see her," John said and they walked in the hospital room.

"Hi, Hon," Carol spoke, giving a small smile.

"Hi," Noelle replied, returning the slight smile.

"How are you feeling?" John asked.

"A little better. My stomach still hurts a bit, but not as badly."

"I'll leave you guys alone for awhile," Isaac spoke softly and stood up. He smiled at Noelle and left the room. He walked out to the waiting room and sat down. 'She said yes,' was all that was going through his mind.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

John had left the room to get a soda. "Mom, Ike asked me out," Noelle smiled brightly.

"He did?" Carol asked. "That's great! I'm happy for you, Baby."

"I know," Noelle sighed happily. "I never thought this could happen. He told me he was really worried about me last night. Mom, Isaac Hanson was worried about me. Noelle Adams. It's a dream come true."

Carol laughed. "Yes. Yes it is."

"Mom?"

"Yes, Hon?" Carol asked.

"When do I get to go home? Ike and the guys are gonna be touring soon…" Noelle trailed off.

"Tomorrow hopefully," Carol replied.

Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. "Knock, knock," came Collette's voice.

"Hi," Noelle said quietly.

"Hey girl! How you doing?"

"Okay, I guess. My stomach is bothering me a bit, but that's it," Noelle answered.

"That's good," Col nodded. "You had better get better mighty quick!"

Noelle smiled. Then came another voice from the door. "Noelle Adams! Don't ever, ever scare me like that again! You hear?" Felicity's voice rang through the room.

"Hey, Lic," Noe smiled slightly at her friend.

"I'm going to go get some breakfast while you girls talk, okay?" Carol said, standing up.

"Yes, Mom. I won't die while you're gone," Noelle replied, giving a small smile.

Carol rolled her eyes and walked to the waiting room. "Ike, Hon, did you have any breakfast?" Carol asked.

"Um…no," Isaac replied.

"Would you like to join Mr. Adams and I with some? My treat."

"Sure. That'd be great," Isaac said, standing up.

"I'm not really hungry, Carr. I'm just gonna stay here," John replied.

"Okay. We'll be back in a bit," Carol said as Isaac and herself made their way to elevators. "Ike," Carol began.

"Yes?"

"Noelle told me."

"Told you what?" Isaac asked cluelessly.

"About you two. I think it's great."

"Oh, yea. That," Isaac said in a dreamy state.

Carol laughed a bit. Isaac blushed as they got to the floor with the cafeteria.

"You really think it's great?" Ike asked. "That we're going together that is."

"Of course! You two make a great couple."

Ike smirked. "Cool."

Carol laughed as they got in line.

Isaac got a simple bowl of cereal, as did Carol. "Can I ask you a few questions about Noelle?"

"Like?"

"Like, what nicknames does she like and hate?" Ike asked.

"She really isn't that picky. She stands Noe, Noey, and Noers…but she hates Noes. She just won't stand for it," Carol replied.

Ike laughed a bit. "Is she stubborn?"

"Very," Carol replied, smiling slightly. "When she really doesn't want to do something, you'll know it."

Isaac laughed again. "Yea. Same here."
