"Hmm?" Col asked, snapping out of her trance. "Oh, yea. Just a little worried about Noelle I guess."
"Oh. Well, do you want to go home?" Tay asked.
Collette shook her head. "No. I'm having a good time. There's only about a half hour left anyway," she offered a soft smile.
"Alright," Tay replied, returning the soft smile, and proceeded to slow dance to "As Long As You Love Me".
Collette pushed the thought Noelle aside for now and began to think of Taylor and herself. She had asked him to come with her a few days previous and he accepted. 'I wonder if he likes me,' she wondered curiously. She shook the thought from her head. 'No. He's a rock star with a thousand girls after him. He could have just about anyone he wants. Why would he want me?'
Little did Collette know Taylor really did like her and was thinking the same. 'No…she was probably just trying to be nice.'
They danced together the whole night, luxuriating in the other's sweet smell.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Zachary and Felicity had been on a sugar high for the past hour. They had truly bonded in the past week.
"There's Tay and Col. I wonder where Ike and Noe are," Lic wondered aloud.
"Probably making out somewhere," Zac replied, rolling his eyes and smiling.
"You mean Ike really likes her?" Felicity asked.
"God yea. You should have seen him before we left! 'Do I look okay?' 'Do you think Noelle will like this?'" Zac mocked his older brother.
"Same with Noelle. 'Oh, God, do you think Ike likes my hair up or down?' 'Do you think this shirt goes with these pants?'" Lic mocked.
Zac laughed. "Let's go ask Tay and Col if they know where they are. I wanna have some fun," he said, smirking.
"Yea, same here," Felicity agreed.
Zac and Lic walked up to Taylor and Collette. "Hey, Tay, do you know where Ike is?" Zac asked.
"Yea. Noelle wasn't feeling good so Ike took her home then went home himself," Taylor replied.
"Oh," Zac and Lic spoke in unison.
"Was she okay?" Felicity asked, concerned for her friend.
"Yea, her stomach was bothering her. That's all," Col replied, not too sure of her answer herself.
"Oh, okay," Lic replied as the DJ began talking.
"This is our last dance of the night. I sure hope you all enjoyed yourselves. Here's 'My Heart Will Go On'."
Taylor and Collette and Zachary and Felicity began to dance to the song. "I'm really glad you asked me to come with you," Zac said softly. "I had a really good time."
"Oh, I was happy to. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself," Lic replied. The two slowly danced to the song, each content just being with the other.
"Hey, Col, I'm really glad you asked me to this thing. I had an awesome time," Tay spoke.
"I'm glad I asked you too," Collette replied giving a soft smile.
Tay looked down at her nervously. "Hey, Collette, I, um, know we haven't really, like, known each other long, but I really like you…" Tay trailed.
"I really like you too," Collette whispered.
Taylor sighed a sigh of relief and continued dancing with Col, pulling her closer to his body, her warmth reassuring.
When the song was over, all of the couples hesitantly broke up and began to leave.
Taylor went to get the jackets along with Collette and Felicity while Zac went to call Ike. By the time Zac was done, Tay, Col, and Lic were standing by the door waiting for him. "Ike said he'd be here in a couple minutes and to wait for him outside the door," Zac announced.
"Okay," Tay replied and opened the door for Col, Lic, and Zac.
Within five minutes, Isaac pulled up along the curb. Taylor, Zac, Col, and Lic hopped into the car and Isaac pulled away to drive them all home.
