“It’s Zac, that’s who.” Kim was mortified. ‘Did Jenn say what I think she said?’ Kim thought.
“Are you crazy? What about Sean?”
“I don’t know, but all I know is that I like Zac...a lot.”
“Well, who do you like more?” Kim asked, walking to the bathroom.
“I think I like Zac more,” she yelled through the door.
“What?” Kim yelled as the door flung open. Jenn and Kim looked at each other for a split second, and then Jenn shoved Kim to the side and got into the bathroom to get changed. “Okay, let me get this straight...you like Sean so you go out with him. You guys well...umm...at the movies. Now, two day later, you're trying to tell me you don’t like him any more, but you are now madly in love with Zac?”
“Well not exactly.” The door flung open and Jenn walked out. “I still like Sean. I think this is bad,” she said hopping into her sleeping bag, which was on the floor next to Kim’s bed.
“I can’t handle this now. It’s too late, Jenn,” Kim said with a smile and a laugh. “Go to bed and think about what you just told me over in your head. We can talk about it in the morning. Good night.”
“Okay, Mom, good night,” Jenn spoke sarcastically as Kim turned off the lights. They both laid in bed until the silence was broke by the ringing of Kim’s phone. “Who could that be?” she said to Jenn as she picked it up “Hello?”
“Hey, Kim...I was kinda wondering if maybe me and Zac could possibly spend the night at your place...” Tay’s voice came from the other end of the line.
“Why? What happened?” Kim asked, confused.
“Well, see, Zac kinda had a fight with Ike of which I was pulled into...And now Ike’s like, majorly pissed at both of us, and Dad & Mom are too, so we just kinda wanna get outta here for a little bit.”
“Oh...Yea, sure, I guess. You’ll have to sneak in through my window though, cause my ‘rents would never let me have a guy stay overnight.”
“Did I just hear sneak and window in the same sentence?” Jenn grinned, with her sing-song tone.
Kim laughed and hit her. “Would you shut up, Jenn? Sorry, Tay. She’s retarded.” Jenn made a retarded noise, grinning like a mad girl.
“That’s no problem...Me and Zac have to sneak outta here anyway, so it’s all good.”
Kim smiled as she watched Jenn flail her arms around, trying to get the attention of her friend. Damn, was she ever confused. “What’s going on?” Jenn mouthed.
Kim ignored her for the moment and continued talking to Tay. “Okay, we’ll keep an eye out for you then.”
“Okay,” Taylor replied. “See you soon.”
Kim could hear the slight smile in his voice and couldn’t help but smile in return. “Okay. Bye.”
“Bye.”
The two hung up their phones. Kim sat on the bed, somewhat dumbfounded.
“What happened?” Jenn whined, shaking Kim some.
“Tay and Zac are coming for a visit.”
“What?” Jenn asked confused. Visit? Zac couldn’t see her like this!
“They’re gonna spend the night cause their parents and Ike are really mad at them or something like that...so I told Tay that I’d sneak ‘em in if they could sneak out.”
“Ohmigod. I hate youuuu! I have to primp! Hellooo! He cannot see me with my hair like this!”
“Gee, Jenn, if you didn’t have a boyfriend, I’d think that you had a crush on Zaccy here.”
“Yea...well, I think that me and Sean are going down hill lately...”
“What do you mean?”
“I don’t know...I’m just not that attracted to him anymore.”
“What?”
“I think I like Zac...”
“Oh my god…”
“Shut uppp...I don’t know for sure, but I guess we’ll find out tonight,” Jenn replied, sporting an evil grin.
Kim rolled her eyes. “Oh geez.”
