.The Castellano family, Maura and Cruz with their young son Pascual, traveled to the US from Jalisco,  Mexico in 1918.  For two years this immigrant family lived in Idaho where Cruz worked for the railroad. While in Idaho, Maura gave birth to their second son, Antonio.   The Castellanos settled in California and raised a large family of 10 children.  Today, most of the children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of Maura and Cruz reside in La Verne, California.
