the idea of volunteering ones time and abilities to the creation of a better tomorrow is the quality we seek in out membership.
* * * * CHARACTER Character is the force within each individual which distinguishes that
person from others. It is the force of character which guides one through life and when once developed grows steadily. Character
is achieved and received. * * * * LEADERSHIP Leadership is not something that is always exerted
on the whole. It also means taking responsibility for ones self and recognizing when a decision is best for the majority as
well as the individual. * * * * CULTURE Culture is that complex whole which includes knowledge,
belief, art language, morals, law, custom, and any other habits acquired by man as a member of society. Culture is learned
and transmitted from one generation to the next by non- biological means. * * * * SCHOLARSHIP
Scholarship means commitment to learning. We should continue to learn even when formal education has ended, for education
ends only with life. Knowledge is one great element in which life lends to the highest success, and it can be acquired in
only one way-through diligence and effort. Learning furnishes the lamp by which we read the past, and the light which illuminates
the future.
