Better Homes and Gardens Better Homes and Gardens not only has a good magazine,
they have a terrific website. It has everything I'm interested in - and more! You can even move furniture
around with their interactive Room Arranger.
iVillage iVillage is a wonderful website, designed especially for women.
There's something of interest to almost every woman. Of course if it wasn't for iVillage, I would never have discovered
this Trellix Website Builder and learned how to make websites. Marcy's Place was my first site, and now building
websites is my favorite hobby.
Meals for You This is definitely one
of my favorites websites. You can find recipes, plan meals, know all the nutritional information, organize foods
and recipes according to carbs, fats, etc., and bring up all kinds of special diets. It will even make a shopping list
for you!
The Farmer's Almanac This is a fun site to explore. They have a little bit of everything -
weather, gardening, food, astronomy, tips, advice, and lots of old wisdom. (Formerly listed as The Old Farmer's
Almanac, which is no longer available on the net.)
Kim Komando's Komputer Klinic When I have
time I like to check into some of my favorite websites, like Kim Komando's Komputer Klinic. She also has
an interesting radio show on the weekends and gives away nice gifts to callers.
CNET Shareware and Freeware This is my favorite site for downloading Shareware and Freeware (computer software). They have all
kinds of nice software programs like typing, picture imaging, games, screensavers, wallpaper, taxes, etc. If
you don't have WinZip, you need to download that first. Before choosing any software be sure and read about it, especially
the User Reviews both positive and negative. Also, it should have an "uninstall" feature and be compatable with your
computer.
On the House On Saturday mornings I often tune-in to On the House with the Carey
Brothers while I'm working around the house. They are two cool carpenters! I've picked up lots of good
tips for our old house. And their addition to the show of "In the Kitchen with Dom Deloise" is a real plus. They
have a great website which also includes Dom's recipes.
The Linker's - A Family Website This is also one of
my sister's websites. She tells a little about their home, herself and her husband, and things they like to do.
There are lots of pictures of her family and grandkids on it.
50th Wilkinsburg High School Reunion - Class of "56" One
of my high school classmates put up this website after attending our 50th high school reunion in 2006. I'm in there
somewhere, but I don't recognize a lot of those "old people!" Were they in my class?? |
