6/11/99 - Endymion's music is now being regularly distributed by a few independent companies. Work has begun on the second Endymion album, tentatively set to be recorded in October or November.

2/11/99 - Apocrypha is finished. Ordering information is in the discography section.

2/3/99 - Apocrypha is in the middle of recording/production. An update: the album will now only include six songs (the former seventh, the instrumental 'The Sigil of Death', will be saved for a future project) and will be released on cassette exclusively at first through Aphelion Records.

1/19/99 - The Pictures section has been updated.

12/29/98 - The name of the first Endymion album will be Apocrypha and, as planned, it will contain seven songs. Three are from the two demo tapes: 'The Day of Doom is Upon Us', 'The Aegis of Apollo', and 'Somnus', and the other four are new, written solely for the album. Information on this release has been added to the Discography section. The release date is still set for the 20th of February, 1999. Fans of doom metal are warned to ready themselves...

12/13/98 - Production work has begun on the first Endymion album, now scheduled for release on the 20th of February, 1999. The album will contain seven songs, have a running time of approximately 50 minutes, and will feature tracks taken from both demo tapes as well as brand new songs never heard before. 'The Aegis of Apollo' will still be available up until the release date, and for a short time after.

12/5/98 - The 'Somnus Perpetua' demo is out of print and no longer available for sale or distribution. As of this date there are not any plans for another pressing or a series of mailings.

11/30/98 - The black month of December and the imminent arrival of Winter is upon us...'The Aegis of Apollo' is released into an unsuspecting world. Look for reviews in your favorite magazines. Ordering information is in the Discography section. The next release for Endymion is a planned full-length album, which is expected to take the entire winter to write and rehearse. Ideas and images will be gathered while on furlough in the cold mountains of the northeast, out of the grim desert of Texas...expect the darkest, most sorrowful music yet. Updates will be posted.

11/25/98 - The new Endymion demo 'The Aegis of Apollo' is completely recorded and mastered. The official release date is still the 27th of November. This new work is a giant leap forward in the technical and stylistic aspects of the band. The demo features four new tracks written, produced and recorded while U. Amtey was under the lengthy influence of a very serious illness. 'The Aegis of Apollo' is a trance-like journey through a netherworld of black misery and fear, slowly suffocating the listener without reason or mercy.

11/24/98 - The Endymion logo has been redesigned to reflect the changing nature of the music. Moving away from the death metal influences into a more classically-inspired vein, the most recent music of Endymion has begun to take on a more occult, mystical approach in the deliberately obscure and/or esoteric melodies and song structures. The logo was reformatted to evoke this...it now has more of a neo-classical approach this time around and, with any luck, this will be the last design.

11/20/98 - As of today, all of the instrumental recordings for the new Endymion demo, 'The Aegis of Apollo', are finished. All that's left are the vocal tracks and the final mixdown, which should be completed in the next few days. The release date for this new demo, which contains material that is at least twice as evocative and doom-ridden as the music on the first, has been set for next Friday, the 27th of November.
