Additional Information (9 July 2002): Edmund H. Tooley worked for the New Orleans Railroad and was married to Catherine Lee GREIG. This union produced at least one child: Edmund H. Tooley, Jr. Edmund survived the war and passed away in 1923. He laid to rest in the New Orleans area. An application for Confederate Widow's Pension benefits is on file at the Archives in Baton Rouge. On the application (some nine pages), the following information is contained pertaining to the service records of Edmund H. Tooley. He served in Co. E., Crescent Regiment, also Holmes Battery, Louisiana Light Artillery, Co. F., 1st (Rightor's) Special Battalion Louisiana Infantry, Dreux's Co., 1st Battalion, Louisiana Infanty and as Tooley, Edmund Hatch, Sr., Orleans Cadets, Druex's Battalion.
