Take a walk through Argentina or if you can’t manage that, then buy Janet Elaine Smith’s newest book, Pampas.
Of course, if you opt for walking, you'll never meet these wonderful characters. This delightful, romantic suspense takes
place in modern day Argetina with a beautiful dona, an equally lovely lady archaeologist, and a secretive gaucho. Not to mention
a devoted secretary, a pompous ambassador and loads of secrets for the whole crew.
If you enjoyed And They Called Her General Leigh, then you’re in for an even better treat. The cultural descriptions
and characters are alive and real, endearing qualities and forgivable flaws. Unlike many books of this nature, Mrs. Smith
has no problem laying down all the aces and revealing the plot. While in many cases, this would make the book boring, it has
just the opposite affect as she adds details, romance and more surprises to this enchanting mix, bringing the conclusion to
an unexpected finish. And not to mention that there are many other unexpected events and surprises, not the least of which
is a capybara stampede.
This book has a beautiful blend of characters, suitable for teens through adults. Even men will enjoy this tale, since
the romance, while sweet, isn’t overpowering. So if you’re looking for a taste of good clean romance, a bit of
the Argentina culture, and lots of suspenseful surprises, then don’t hesitate to pick up a copy of this book. It’ll
be well worth your time and will be read over and over again.
